Last year we had slow defenders who didn't push up which resulted in big gaps between all the lines.
A good team plays with a distance of 20-25 metres between the defensive and attacking line to make it very compact.

You keep saying this, but we absolutely still played a high line even with a make shift defence. I agree that at times we may have dropped off a bit more than usual if VvD and Gomez had been back there but you go on like we were play deep. We weren't.

You need to watch the games which we lost. Slow defenders have the tendency to run away from the attackers and drop deep. Klopp always want quick defenders at the back to be comfortable in 1v1 if they are isolated.
I remember games like at home against Everton, Brighton, Burnley and Leicester, Madrid away when Phillips, Kabak and Fabinho were all over the place. I want defenders who are quick, have good positioning and tall. VVD, Matip and Konate are the right defenders.
Our style is about defending from the front and if they break that press you need defenders who can deal with the danger of through balls or balls over the top.

That isn't the argument. The point is, that we played a high line even with Nat and Williams in the team. We didn't do it as consistently as we would have done with some pace at CB, but we absolutely played a high line. We tended to drop off when winning, as we do even with VvD and Gomez/whoever as it is a natural thing to do. Even with Henderson and Fab we played a higher line though.

Simple answer, yes. Would it be done? No as I can imagine Fabinho, Henderson and Thiago will remain as the midfield 3 for the foreseeable.
Although who would be in behind the CF and who would the CF forward be would be my question.

I know we played that 4 up front as the occasional wildcard last season but still think Klopp prefers 4-3-3 and will look to keep it that way. Fab and Thiago in particular look much better playing as a three.
You'd imagine it would be Hendo next to Fabinho and Thiago in front, but I'm not convinced that makes sense.

I don't see why Klopp would change to a 4-2-3-1 with the current players he's got anyway. I don't think putting a Firmino as a 10 would work as well and I don't see why he'd put Thiago as a 10 either.
The only way you'd do that is if one, Firmino, Henderson or Thiago left the club and you wanted to reshape the team.
