Presuming he’s playing there after the Ox played false 9 the other day and the way it was on the lfc FB post.

Also interesting that Ox is playing in the Firmino position in our first ‘proper’ game.

I think he'll be an option there for sure. Klopp went out of his way two or three times last season after Ox came on in that role to big him up in that role, even when he didn't do too much. I think it is an interesting one for sure. I Like I said, I think he has goals in him if he can find himself with the ball at his feet in and around the box.

Yeah, I think he’s definitely one of those that needs a run in the side to see the best of him, and that’s obviously his main issue. A massive if, but if he can stay fit then maybe Klopp will see him as a Bobby alternative.

I’m not sure we should read too much into Elliot’s starting position in this game. Assuming Klopp wants to see a Mane/Ox/Salah front three, so had to play Elliot somewhere. Could be wrong, but I’d be a little surprised at this stage in his development if Klopp plans on keeping him there and not further forward.

ox has firmino shooting

Ox in the Firmino role is interesting. He's a pressing monster. Has goals in him but positionally and movement doesn't really suit him in that role. He's also a ball to feet type of player more than he moves around looking to exploit space.

That stuff can be coached though but to move in unison with Salah and Mane...you gotta have elite movement.

Will be really interesting to see how it plays out.

Origi is so frustrating!
