What I don't understand is how is even still at the club. We signed him in May 2016 supposedly on a 5 year deal but he's still here.

Karius isn't in the squad I don't think so doesn't count in the 17. I double check in a bit.

It's adding Konate and bringing back Minamino which is the issue I believe.

Nobody really seems to take into the the other stuff that goes along with some players, especially second and third choice GK's. It is a weird position cos you have to have the mindset that you simply won't get picked most of the time. So what do you bring to training, to mindsets, to how you work with the number 1 and youth players. I'm not saying Adrian should have been signed in some kind of cheerleader capacity, but it is an easy win for us if he ticks the boxes and more than I have mentioned.

Adrian was probably low risk really. Not going to play many games, but, as mentioned above, may be a good character to have around the dressing room and is a good source of experience for the younger goalkeepers as well. He takes up a foreign space which isn't ideal, but that is probably outweighed by the positives.

Looks like Bailey is Villa bound. With their rich owners they could blow us out of the water if we are penny pinching should we be interested in the player.

Don't buy the low risk thing. He single handedly knocked us out of the FA Cup and Champions League in our title winning year.

He might be a nice guy but if people keep using the we have 17 foreigners in the squad excuse then its pretty daft having a terrible keeper as one of the 17 because he smiles a lot.

But in CL squads (not sure about PL) you have to register 3 goalkeepers as part of your squad, so Adrian would make sense. No point promoting a youth goalkeeper who is likely even worse and would miss out on game times with the U23 squad to not even be part of the senior team matchday squad.

It also helps keep a settled squad, creating further possibly protracted negotiations, agent fees, etc, etc.

This is not Football Manager and the club are not stupid.

Well it's a fair point, the club will likely have to sell a foreign player before buying another one, but Shaqiri, Origi etc are probably better candidates than Adrian. Just keep your squad goalkeeper as it is for now.

But we do have 17 foreigners in the first team squad. It's simply a fact because we bought Konate and Minamino has returned.

Could you at least TRY and start telling the truth please? I don't particularly mind you being humiliated every transfer window but it's actually getting so repetitive it's becoming tedious.

Give me examples of when I have been humiliated? I know how our owners operate and will wait till the end of the window. Last summer they did well when we got Jota in while last winter was almost a disaster.
