You might be waiting a while. Trent could become a dribbling crack addict and he’d still be too good for Spurs.

Thats what Owen thought.

Yeah I think people who think Trent is going to suddenly drop off a cliff and end up at a much weaker team are not being real. First of all, as a right back in a weaker team, he’d be wasted. Second of all, the guy is literally the most unique player in the world, in his position. The qualities he has are world class, without a doubt. Whilst it’s true Madrid fans get on your back more than fans of other clubs, especially Liverpool, he’ll find the defensive side easier in La Liga but also have a lot more time on the ball to actual do what he does best.

I watched their last game however and it may, certainly in the earlier stages when the other players don’t know what he can do, come as a shock to him that he’s available but does get the pass. Obviously at Liverpool they got the ball to him as soon as they could but he was making runs and not receiving it in the first game.

I just don’t see how it doesn’t work out well for him. Not really our business anymore however and I just hope Bradley comes on leaps and bounds as I really believe he has the potential to be an excellent player for the club. Obviously Frimpong could be a good option too but jury out still for me on how he fits into a four in the back system. I think he’ll be just fine as we’re mostly on the ball but I certainly wouldn’t be rushing to have him as the automatic starter when we’ve already got Bradley at the club.
