They can't realistically demand more than £40/50m with this being his last year.

Tbh if he wants to be playing every week I’m not sure this is the club for him right now. It’s a fair want when moving clubs. You don’t want to go from a starter to a bench player.

Then he should be lowering his sights on where he wants to play. You don’t move from a club at Palace’s level to Liverpool and demand to be a starter.

Depending on what happens with Konate there is a chance he could walk straight into the team

Not sure why this is an unreasonable desire for a player moving clubs.

If I were Guehi, I’d want assurances as well. Nobody comes to a club like Liverpool and is guaranteed anything but I’d want to know it was at the very least a fair fight for the Konate place rather than being brought as a Quansah squad upgrade.

I think it’s a perfectly fair and reasonable question personally. It’s a massive move, got to make sure it’s right for both player and club.

I don't rate Quansah super highly based on what we've seen so far, but I like giving extra chances to players who come through the youth setup, but ultimately I think this is a good deal. The buy-back option is great as well.

Thrilled with a buy back option for sure, that’s superb news.

Should see some incoming movement on the CB front then. Tbh if we replaced Quansah with Guehi, that’s a huge upgrade and would make me feel less bad about Konaté sodding off.

Slot is lethal when it comes to players. Remember he started ahead of Ibou against Ipswich and a year later we sell him. Under Klopp he would have got another year. Glad we got a buy back. He could be a U21 Euros winner having previously won the U20 world cup.

He will be worried about his England starting position, with a world cup coming up.
