I remember about a year ago Arteta gave an interview defending him and saying how well he's dealt with the tough situation he's been going through.
Obviously they couldn't know if he's guilty or not but looks horrendous now.

Say what you want about the club world cup but I can't have Chelsea winning it. They have had the easiest run possible and should get to the final.
Need to get my hate watches out for this. If they win it they will be regarded as world champions for 4 years

Still been in denial about Jota but it's starting to feel real now after watching the coverage as the funeral is about to start.
Ruben Neves last night who is Jota's best friend really hit me too.
This has hit me really bad.
Can't stop thinking about it.
Obviously it's hard on everyone but you have to feel for Hughes and Edwards in this. Got the unenviable job of trying to put grief aside to get back on with squad planning and find his "replacement".
Edwards looked in bits yesterday too.
I'm not looking to even think about football at the moment. It all seems so futile, and somewhat disrespectful.
Anfield will be a strange place for the first few games.

I genuinely don’t get this ‘disrespectful’ thing. I completely get and respect if any individual doesn’t want to think about football related things at the moment, but for those that do, it’s extremely unfair to suggest it’s a sign of disrespect imo. Everyone’s different, some people prefer to stop everything and focus on the ‘despair’ of the moment, others would rather try and get on with their lives and move on as quickly as they can. There’s no right or wrong way, just what suits an individual.
But the club will simply HAVE to carry on conducting their business, and probably quite soon too. But they will also be working on ways of remembering and respecting Jota and his family. They’ve already done this perfectly up to now, and I don’t think the people that really matter in all this, Jota’s family, would expect the club to not carry on with its business, it’s just the reality of life.

Couldn’t give a toss if Chelsea win the cwc. Even in the past the tournament was seen as a bit of an exhibition , but the new format of playing it in the off season in front of empty stadiums has seen it really stoop to a new absolute piisstake of a low. It is purely a money spinning event now. Jurgen was right when he said it was one of the worst footballing decisions ever made.
In fact, if an utterly mediocre side like Chelsea, whom have been midtable in their domestic league for years now, end up winning the whole thing, that will nicely sum up what an absolute circus of an event the whole thing has become.
