Rumoured Sunderland offer of 14M for Borini. How much abuse will Arouna get if we make a profit on his favourite player?
=====
Gus Poyet needs a drug test!
But I was right, he has been a massive flop at Liverpool and replaced by lambert.....a guy who played through the leagues showing the hype that surrounds Borini is just that
at TOOR and all those who said he would make it at Liverpool
Or maybe he is just mismanaged by Rodgers?
not that bad, everyone got an extra 40mil and he was vital to them staying up

How long is this Origi guy taking to make a decision? Has he got an offer from another club as well that he's weighing up?
----------------------
Feck him, he should be jumping at the chance to play for Liverpool!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Heard from another source that we're loaning him straight back to Lille anyway. Could be old news but if true, wouldn't we be better spending our money elsewhere?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's an extremely shortsighted view. You're basically suggesting we should only be buying players for the here and now. What if we pass on Origi and he turns into the next Drogba for example? Talking of Drogba, Chelsea would never of signed him if they'd adopted your approach....

Why is it funny? I still think he could have made it for Liverpool. The fact that we made Champions League earlier than expected means it could have taken longer and him going for £14m shows how good a player he is already at such a young age, if his performances last season didn't do it for you. He'll only get better too.
Also how many players has Lambert replaced now? It will be five before the windows ends.
Lambert is a completely different player, brought in to give us a completely different option.
I thought Borini was a Rodgers type TOOR.
Yet he looks like he is gone, and as you say he is such a good player

No, you were saying he could be the next Drogba and I've simply said he could be the next Aspas. It could work either way is all I am getting at. Although, he'll be a success if he turns out even the slightest bit better than Aspas!
Arouna given Borini has just gone for £14m, and McCormack went for £11m, how much do you think Lukaku will go for (bear in mind last season you though he was only worth about £12m).
I suggested Lukaku was a £20m player and you laughed.
I also know you laughed at the idea of us getting our money back on Borini. In fact we have done even better than that.
Basically you have proved your football knowledge is incredibly weak yet again.
I think Lukaku has proved that kind of fee as reasonable given his record with Everton last season. Hard to remember he's still only in his early 20s!
No, you were saying he could be the next Drogba and I've simply said he could be the next Aspas. It could work either way is all I am getting at. Although, he'll be a success if he turns out even the slightest bit better than Aspas!
---------
But my original point was that you seem to think we should only be buying ready made players.... 10m is nothing in the grand scheme of things, and at worst we seem to be getting our money back. Surely if the club see potential, it's better to buy at a lower fee than what it may be in the future? If we didn't buy him now, then paid 20+m for him in two years, which is what the likes of Bony, Lukaku etc are going for, what would you be saying then?

I'd be saying I can't predict the future and hold my hands up. I said at the time I'd take Ba over Sturridge and happily I was proven wrong. There's plenty of players who are starlets who develop, and probably more who don't.
If I'm quite honest I'd prefer to see us get our playing squad sorted for this season before we start looking at future stars. Then again, that's why I'm not a manager.

Fair one! The cline can't afford to just concentrate on just now though. To be sustainable we have to try and buy for the future. We could save millions if such signings are a success, and probably lose little if they're not. It's the way the club have chosen to operate, so you'll have to learn to accept it
