True. And the injury that ended his career was on the other knee. But let's not let facts get in the way

Vindictive, career ending leg-breaks aside, I always liked Keane.

Keane has never ended anyone's career

Ok.

Can you please identify a football player who had his career ended by Roy Keane?

career damaging tackle is probably more accurate. severe irreparable damage

Not true Blarmy. Itw as the other knee that forced him to retire

Jose is the greatest wum.

Semantics - career ending or not, I couldn't care - it was vindictive, unecessary and has no place on a football pitch. Jesus, I said I like the guy - god knows how you lot react when someone says they hate him.

This is more a general point rather than specific to Haaland, but the majority of Abou Diaby's injuries have been as a result of the broken leg sustained against that Dan Smith scoundrel.

There have been many injuries to his other leg/knee but the chronicness of his maladies is a definite result of that one challenge.

Not a good defense of a violent tackle, Keane is a player that went in with intent to injure, not something anyone wants to see surely?

Keane will always be a coward for the Haaland thing, whether or not he ended his career is pretty irrelevant.

Keane has backed out of battles (Ireland, Fergie) etc in a blaze of cowardice over his career - His on field hard man act will never change that.

Some player though

An Arsenal fan lecturing us on poor behaviour after some of the neanderthals who've fielded for Arsenal prior to the recent 'f4nnys only' era.

Not defending a violent tackle. Just correcting sensationalised inaccuracies is all. He's not the first player to deliberately make a bad tackle and won't be the last. The main furore is over his honesty in admittong to it

So because some Arsenal players have behaved badly, that justifies Keane's actions?

Deflecting from the actual topic of the article (Keane) in order to have a go at Arsenal players just proves my point further.

as dot hinted at too, the body is not a bunch of seperate parts. injury to one area can cause worse injuries in another area i.e the other leg

What has the Haaland tackle got to do with the OP?

We are critiquing the validity of Keane's opinions based on his actions

Yeah, I know, is that actually Jay? He's normally a decent poster. But mention Keane (even in a positive light) and he goes a bit mental.

So because Keane kicked some fool who deserved it a lifetime ago he isn't allowed an opinion?

comment by ● (U4443)

Of course he's allowed an opinion. It's just how seriously it should/will be taken that we're debating.

How you can say Haaland 'deserved' it is quite beyond me.

And last night I took a knock on the head at football, but all night long it was my warhead which was sore!

The body is a strange and wonderful thing.
