I didn't care that much for The Irishman. Thought it started alright and the first hour or so was fairly promising but the middle act and third act were dull and felt like they went on forever.
The movie could easily have been stripped down to about two, maybe two and a half hours. And it didn't have any of the memorable moments or lines that the likes of Goodfellas and Casino had.
Really wanted to like it as I'm a big Scorcese fan and I was really excited to see Pacino finally star in a Scorcese pic. But watching this movie made me feel like this collaboration should have been done 20 years ago.

Id agree with this....yeah decent....I learnt about Hoffa, someone I wasn't over familiar with...so good for that
Irishman was dull and boring. who decided to make it a 3hour film?
Make it a 4 part series and release on Netflix you baboons
Yes might have worked better as a three or four part miniseries. Then again Scorcese has only ever done movies and is old school so he went with his tried and tested movie format.
Hmmm, I liked it. Didn’t mind the length, just took my time with it.
I just enjoyed seeing all those guys on screen.
Thought everybody was pretty good in it.
Pesci DeNiro, Pacino, Graham, all great.
Not goodfellas level but still worthy.
Off to see Star Wars in a bit...and no, I will not be on here spoiling stuff for you good people

Could you ask Admin for RDD’s email address and spoilt it for him?
I thought Pesci put in a performance that ranks alongside his best
That bit when he doesn’t say a word, and you know what he’s saying, and DeNiro just looking back...
awesome..

Yeah no faulting the performances. All the main parts were well acted. Just that the material and script didn't really live up to what we've seen before in Scorcese gangster pics. Just lacked that spark for me. And it's certainly not one I'd watch again whereas I've rewatched Goodfellas and Casino more times than I could possibly remember.
Part of that Pesci performance is how different it is to the iconic roles hes played in these sort of things before
Casino is my personal favourite of the earlier style

Someone has recorded the best bits of joe Pesci from casino and goodfellas and has used it to prank call so done, it's pretty funny. Including that exact lime above.

I think after watching a bit of both recently, I think Indiana jones (first 3) is a superior trilogy to any of the Star Wars trilogy's, even the first lot (which are great, the rest are pretty crap).
One thing I'll give the original Star Wars is that the effects still stand up these days, which is s phenomenal achievement. The reboots can fack off though, even the newest o es
Yeah, I was Indiana in the playground, sometimes T.J Hooker...Before McClane there was Indy.
Always preferred him to Solo. Raiders my Fav film.
Star Wars is a religion. Never gonna tire from it.

Yeah a few, liked it but boy was it confusing (never played the games). Guessing it will unfold over the next few episodes. It's not too bad though.

Yeah I agree. It took me a while to even figure out the characters were in different timelines
Few moments I had to pause it to try and figure out where I was and what exactly what was going on, but overall I enjoyed it. Set up well for season 2 at least...
