No...no...no...

Beverly Hills Cop 4 was allegedly in the pipeline, think it was going to be a Netflix production after the relative success of Dolemite on Netflix although if this Coming to America sequel tanks (albeit on a different service) then that would probably jeopardize it happening.

Good shout on a Trading Places sequel. Murphy and Akroyd could play the equivalent of the Mortimer and Randolph roles perhaps.

Didn’t think it was as bad as people said. Yes, it was a bit stupid, but wasn’t the 1st one? Actually enjoyed the nostalgia as every character was bought back from the original

Minus the excellent Denholm Elliott obv's...good scope for someone else to come into that role...given he's not a butler any more

some nice nostalgic stuff, for a 12, i guess its just fine.
but really was meh.

Beverly Hills cop has a pilot for a TV show made about 4 years ago, and the TV execs panned it and didn't greenlight the series, which Netflix might pick up.
The problem is for Eddie, no matter how much he's Mr P.G family man, the RAW version of Eddie is what people want to see, and he teases us with the likes of Dolemite, but alas, i just don't think he wants to go there.

That’s it’s, it’s meh. It’s nowhere near as bad as the critics are making it out to be. If you liked the 1st coming to America, then watch this one for pure nostalgia alone. It really isn’t that bad.

I'll certainly watch it because I've seen the first Coming to America countless times. I don't have high expectations, it doesn't try to be anything else other than silly comedic entertainment and shouldn't be judged as anything else.
