Just finished Prey. Really liked it. Short quick film. Simple premise, beautifully shot. As a prequel, it’s a worthy entry to the franchise. Nice Easter eggs.
To go from this film to then Arnie’s Predator, I think it compliments it very well. A nice double header.

They dialled it back. They were smart with it.
I’m still wondering what I don’t like about it, and I haven’t got much. Maybe a couple gripes here and there. Nothing fatal.
But the thing that stood out for me, was that I was emotionally invested.
And I do like Predators, but this had me more intrigued.

Both… although I think the non-English version will be the better of the two.
Wow, I really need to stop getting hyped off the internet. Prey is average, after all the hype I was expecting so much more, but what we have is basically straight to TV predator with the associated budget. Don't get me wrong it's fine, comfortably a 6/7 and much better than any of the recent reboots, but ahhhhh.....ok should be more annoyed with myself and should know better than to get hyped by the internet!
None of them are any good - certainly not compared to say, the first Alien films.
But I still will watch Prey tomorrow, it could be fun.

Do my friend it's fun - but don't get caught like me, feel people have massively hyped it. But honestly after all the crap we have been given I also don't blame them, but Arnie's Predator is a whole different level.
And yeh Alien is actually a good comparison. However, the 40 year old film doesn't everything better.
I think the first Predator movie is good.
I think the first two Alien movies are masterpieces.
