you can be a trekkie and a SW at the same time ya nugget.
Trek is superb. Not seen much of the new ones.
Dicovery was not for me, Picard was rotten to start with (heard its much better now).
Voyager and DS9 is as good as any sci fi tv series out there IMO.
TNG hasnt aged as well as the others and I now have it below the two mentioned.
As with all Star Treks though the first 2 seasons of TNG, DS9 and Voyager are all a good bit below the standards they set from season 3 onwards.
TNG needed the fans on board to get the funding which they got season 3 onwards.
DS9 overlapped the last season or two of TNG when filming so budgets were lower during them and then increased again season 3 onwards.
Voyager exact same first 2 seasons filmed whilst Ds9 was still going and season 3 onwards the budget increased.
The films are far more consistent than SW but dont hit the heights SW manages when it gets it right.
I dont understand the hate for one or the other.

Into Darkness was great also but i was annoyed that they tried to market as a new film when it was a remake.
DS9 and Voyager are up there with the best Sci Fi Series going about.... yes there will be plenty of slower episodes but thats normal when you hvae 10 seasons of 24-27 episodes.
Its a slog to get through them all but one they added them to Netfilx I owed iot to myself.
Always watched the shows sporadically when the old man had it on but never in order and following it properly. When I was younger I thought Voyager was terrible and DS9 slightly better thinking TNG was where it was at.
When you watch now Voayger is easily the best and Ds9 next in line. Mainly cos they have an overall goal and end story to work towards, rather than the random epsiode of TNG every week.

Yeh, but it was one of those things I didn’t care for.
So even if someone told me what it was, I would’ve just shrugged me shoulders and forgot about it.
I couldn’t name you 3 films where 420 is referenced..
