Space and spaceships doesn't mean sci-fi
You guys know Jurassic Park is scifi right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to disagree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Feel free ...but the literally definition of science fiction.....well is in the name fiction based on science
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let me elaborate.
I think Jurassic Park 1 has sci fi elements but I view it as more fantasy than sci fi.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How cloning is 100% possible, and we are basically on the cusp of reenginering dodos - it is also something that could become reality. Fantasy basically means magic......
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is Iron Man not sci fi? Building a combat suit out of metal with an AI system is more plausible than bringing back Dinosaurs in my opinion.

It is - however people prefer to call them comic book as there is quite a bit of fantasy
But likeliness doesn't increase or decrease if something is scientifically possible. If it's plausible within science and the rules that apply to science it's sci fi, honestly it's a simple concept. And as I said he are literally doing Jurassic park.....and have been for the last 2 decades I don't know why you would think a mech suit like iron man is more plausible......?
A battle armour suit has actually been produced where as a T rex has yet to be brought back from extinction.
That's not to say the latter isn't possible, I simply believe an Iron Man type suit is more plausible. We already know the AI element is pretty much there.
ITS SPOILER SATURDAY!!! LETS GO!!
Moff Gideon isn’t dead. That was his clone.
The cheating in by the Editors for this final Ep was outrageous.
First off, something serious happened. This was Ep 7 cut into 2 parts. And to instantly destroy any tension with Dins situation by having Grogu just appear out of facking nowhere was a liberty to your viewers.
No recognition for the loss of Paz Vizla?
And I’m swear, if I was Vizlas kid at the end, I’d be saying to Amourer, point blank. ‘Listen fam, I’m sure we managed to get through 99% of this ceremony last time, can we just cut right to the last part?’
What would’ve been hilarious if, if we saw a mid shot if Vizlas kid in the holy water, and he’s walking deeper into it, and then turns round to Din, Bo Katan and Amourer, and he asks ‘This one is safe right?’
And we cut back to the 3 of them, just giving him a Thumbs up. Then we cut back to the kid, nodding his head to them, just as the Mythosaur is rising up behind him, like Newt in Aliens.
Freeze Frame, cue end credits.
Think it might be the real Gideon and then the woman working as his spy comes and gets his clone to replace him
Honestly that whole episode was me just sitting there going ‘really, you’re doing this are you’
The jet back into space - ludicrous
The Mando section with the shields was great until the pointless Grogu save.
They seem to want to give Gideon a Vader suit, a Vader line and Maul horns. No idea why.
Why destroy the dark saber, for what purpose?
Hated the Grogu forcefield saving them. Not that it’s horrendous in itself but it’s been done so, so many times before in all sorts of films. It’s just so unoriginal. Like they couldn’t be bothered to think of a way out so they just though feck it, let’s do a forcefield and go for a beer.
The dark sabre was my biggest gripe but then I re watched and you see it ignite slightly when broke which means the crystal is fine it’s only the handle.
With knowing the lightsaber maker droid is with Ashoka he’ll have the schematics to rebuild or even help build a new version
The jet pack fight especially the bit where the mandos come down and the storm mandos go up is one of the best cinematic things in Star Wars.
Incredible
S3 was quite un-SW actually. SW has most often had pretty poor air battles but amazing stories. This series the fighter and air battles have been beautiful but they forgot to write a story.
I enjoyed the armourer by the way, she can kick ass and no signs of being a traitor.
Thought the battle itself was pretty good for the most part but a little cheesy making Moth into Vader and even giving him Vader dialogue. 'I will deal with him myself'.
The silliest bit was Grogu suddenly saving Mando after he is first caught?!? I guess nobody saw the 7 foot Grogu powered robot.
So… Bo Katans home gets destroyed by Tie fighters/Tie bombers right.
Bo even asks the question mid battle ‘where have they come from?”
Very pertinent question Bo. And one You and Din didn’t bother to follow up. We Star Wars fans know shiiiit.
So cast yer mind back to A New Hope. The Falcon has come out of lightspeed to see a destroyed Alderaan.
Suddenly Alarm goes off, and a Tie Fighter flys past them. Was it Luke or Kenobi that says, ‘A ship that size couldn’t have got here by itself’ or something to that effect.
So it should be common knowledge that a Tie Fighter needs a base of operation, whether on an Imperial Star Destroyer, A Death Star, or in a base on a Planet.
I’m sure it wouldn’t have taken them that long to work out, that Imperials were on Mandalore.
Overall what I didn’t like about the season, was that, they were telling us everything as we watched it. There were no red herrings. We invented them thinking they actually put some effort into the story.
What I will do, is rewatch, taking everything at face value, and seeing if that makes a difference.

You forget about this guy for 6 episodes, bring him back for the last two and expect it to be a big deal because you dress him up like your most iconic villain and give him the line? Feck off, you shower of unts. You’ve basically made Gideon like some cosplay loser at a convention, desperate to dress up as the baddie and use his lines.

How does Gideon break the DarkSaber? Is the thing totally destroyed?

Amazing what editing can do… and just like that IG-11 is back. How much time had passed eh?
