Nah, the 100 point season (17/18) was ridiculous. Scored 106 goals and only conceded 27. Goal difference of +79. Mad.

your comparing seasons to seasons. the city team just now is far stronger than the one that started the season IMO.

Pep has sussed out how to get his team performing far better with Haaland in it so have the players.

in the last month or so their results have been:

7-0 leipzig
6-0 Burnley
4-1 Liverpool
4-1 Southampton
3-0 Bayern

As much as it pains me I can see them doing the same to Arsenal midweek. I cant see past them for the league now either.

City are tremendous at their best. Right now, if they're on their game then they beat anybody. But they definitely aren't always 'at it', they have off games. The consistency of the 17/18 team was what sets it apart imo. But I do see the point you're making.

All that said, I still think they'll beat Arsenal and take the league. And given the semi line up, you've got to fancy them for the CL as well.

I just think this team right now has more balance and more tools to deal with any other team IMO.

They can grind out results, they can be organised and soak up pressure, they can dominate the ball, they can create chances at will. you cant load the box or play a high line cos of Haaland.

Let’s just hope it’s a nasty rumour. Yesterday seemed to be the day of high profile firings.

In other news, Temuera Morrison is going off again. At a convention in Oz the other day, he was asked whether he was supposed to be in Mando Season 3.

He said he didn’t get a call, then proceeded to grumble about how Din Djarin ruined his own show by stealing a couple chapters just to get Grogu back.
He laughed it off, but I think he’s still a bit bitter how things played out with BoB.

The other rumour is that Morrison will appear in Ahsoka as Clone Captain Rex.
I guess this is after his last mission in Return of the Jedi, on Endor.

I remember my first time watching episode 4 and the rescue scene blew me away. I thought Luke and Han would rescue the damsel in distress but it turned out that Leia was anything but a stereotypical princess that needed rescuing.

As a young’un, it was Solo’s remarks in Ep4 that made me realise she wasn’t this damsel in distress. His comments about her, you can see he’s attracted to her, but he’s attracted to her strength of character rather than her looks. Although, part of me is still thinking she is a prima donna.
But you don’t realise at that point just how important she is.
Then i watch the other movies, and then go back and rewatch, and it’s right there in the opening 5-10 mins.. she’s taking on the StormTroopers by herself. She’s then cuffed and presented to Vader who has just killed a Rebel, and she’s there, looking straight in his face keeping up the pretence.
She then meets Tarkin, and she disses Vader right there, about being his lapdog.
And that’s when it really hit me what a great character she was/is.

Having watched CW and the prequels, Leia deserves huge respect for even defying Vader, as he was more than capable of just killing people on a whim.
