yeah but dosnt make it as old. and if that was the case then you could argue any clone is immortal or anyone that gets cloned is immortal.

Definitely plausible

But with the shift moving to Thrawn - him plus some Sith/Dark Jedi that we saw in the trailor, and maybe more of the Noghri, Gideon would I expect get relegated down that list of baddies in the Mandoverse, however, wouldn't be surprised to see him in Mando S4.

But I also feel that Mando depending on the other shows may now pass the torch. I certainly have the feeling that Ahsoka will be pushed as the "next big thing" in the live-action universe. The fact that Dave was moved over to this, it seems in detriment to Mando proves the direction I feel Disney wants to go

That feels like something Vader would do rather than what I would imagine Thrawn doing.

I can imagine Thrawn manipulating and using Gideon as a pawn in some bigger plan, sacrificing him for something he wants to happen.

That's the Thrawn I'm hoping to see on screen anyway. Ruthless but in a more cerebral way.

Decided to do an OG marathon, but decided to start with the last 10 mins of Rogue One (we so need more of these pretty dark space battles)

But the first thing 3PO says is "there'll be no escape for the princess THIS time"

Probably just a cool coincidence of using that quote since the R1 Darth scene is so good, but still - sorts of ties in Rogue 1 more with th OGs

Ok maybe slightly unpopular opinion - but how would people feel about reimagining/remaster of the OG films? Either just using deep fake, or CGI to rebuild the films....or I don't know maybe animate the films? Cos I will be honest I love the OG films but they really haven't aged well, and all the digital remasters make it look a mess....

But the story stays identical, just things like the final space battle (you do know there should have been hundreds of ships right? Not like 12 ) and the obi Vs Vader becomes more epic. Everything also just becomes much more better looking as seriously it's so messy these days. Here are some models, here are CGI ships, here are some air fix models, here are some CGI ships. Here is Vader and his wing men literal stuck together!

Perhaps they could decanonise the sequels and use some of the footage to enhance the originals.

Could take Lando's 'fleet' from the last movie and add those hundreds of ships to the final battle in the OG.

I have not thought this through.

Nah, I’m perfectly happy the way they are. I’m thinking about starting my son off on the SW films, starting with E1 and I’m already looking forward to watching E4 with him.

I’d far rather they put some effort into writing decent new stories rather than short change fans with half baked ideas. Or in some cases, no ideas.
