Stormtrooper 1: Ah man, I can't believe we left the droids escape tattooine.
Stormtrooper 2: It's only Vader, he'll have you on helmet cleaning duty for a few weeks.
Stormtrooper 3: Count your blessings you weren't assigned to the Emperor. The last trooper that failed him, ended up doing his dirty laundery for a week and rumours are, he still wakes up screaming every night.

If Yoda didn't survive, I guess Kenobi would have to train Luke, which was always the original plan.

If Kenobi died, Yoda would have positioned himself on Tattooine to watch over Luke. Or a more interesting angle, Yoda raises Luke on Dagobah and becomes his adopted father, which then makes the Vader father line even more twisted and cruel.

A genuine question that always had me curious was what would happen if they did arrest Palpatine and Anakin didn't kill Windu? Surely Palpatine would have bad a contigent plan?

Honestly this needs to be done - just because the Jedi were pretty much spiralling downwards anyway, yes slowly and not so noticeably, but Luke talks about it in the Zahn books and I feel this is what was used in the sequels too although much too quickly and done in a very bad way. It's also used well in a deeper fashion with Ashoka and in Rebels much better. But the idea of more violent infighting and factions within the Jedi sounds so cool

So yeh we have probably "seen" Pedro for the last time as Din. Seems he is in final talks to star in Galdiator 2 (yeh feels like a cash grab but let's see), is just rumor but if the others are true you gotta feel that is it - sure he'll stay on as the voice ala Vader, but doubt we will see him again, especially if season 3 rumors were true.

I'm probably alone in this but I would have zero issues with Pedro just being replaced and get an unknown that looks and sounds vaguely like him to play Din.

There are two paths basically, one carries on with him as Din and ends in a blockbuster film that pulls all the threads together. The other ends the relationship and they get someone else to walk the way. Either is fine with me.

I don't think so Naby - Pedro's face is pretty irrelevant in the whole scheme of things, and since we have just had a season with, let's be honest, no Pedro don't think it's an issue. Also it feels more like Bo is becoming centralised and again no issue with this what so ever, and probably better in the overall arc we have already had. I guess he will come back maybe for the Mandoverse movie, but seems like Pedro has out grown SW series and fair play to him.

I'd be perfectly happy with them recasting Mando. The character is bigger than Pedro. When I think of Mando, I don't think of Pedro, I think of a mandalorian in beskar armour.

Agreed. Easily replaced. It’s become too much of a distraction. Him not taking his mask off in this season, made no sense. And after all that he went through, he decided it’s not the way for hill he just wanna chill…

And with all these rumours, just draw a line under it once and for all. Either he’s in board or not.
The film is years away yet.

The end was silly where he was chillin at his isolated house but still had his mask on. Unless Grogu isn't allowed to see his face now maybe.

Yeah when we didn't see his mask come off at all this season, I just figured he wasn't actually in the suit much this time round, can't remember who I was having a disagreement with it about.

But yeah, it'd be a shame if they lost him altogether, but no reason why they couldn't just keep his voice and get him in for the big moments if needed surely?
