Yeh, but it was one of those things I didn’t care for.

its cos it had loads of replies on it from people which obv showed what he was saying clearly contradicts what was said originally in the OP.

and for those not aware he basically created an article about how stupid an appointment ETH was, and what did he do to deserve the job and how he would be a disaster.

Yep I'm one of the people who argued against him on that thread at the time. I just can't believe he thinks we're so stupid that we wouldn't know the original content of the article. Total basket case.

Culet hates me though.

He creates threads and all I do is post past articles he has created that contradict him. I literally dont even give my opinion i just use his own material against him and he now tries to get other posters to clamour together to complain and try get me banned . fortunately most just tell him he is pathetic.

I had to temp-ban him from the marvel thread a while ago and he sent a sweary DM to me on instagram

My fault.. I followed him on there before I realised what a basket case he was.

in terms of mini communities IMO this is the best thread on the site not just from the SW content but the usual dailly banter between us all.

I have a bad habit of going after trolls on this site and targetting their threads to post either past articles or facts that show them up.

it can make me rather popular at times !!

Culer is easy I tend to link that very thread so much so that he changed the OP and deleted all the comments and he now despises me !

Chelsea mf i literally just post the stats of the player he is walking about and he deletes the comments thats nor personal cos he does that to every one else who posts, proper weird.

Guys on here are brand new however thankfully.

no one is overly bitter, can take the banter and can actually be open to changing their opinion that seems rare on this site.

So much cheating going on in this Ep. And I think I know what the biggest cheat of them all is..Spoilers

Have you bloody seen the Star Trek fanbase?! Those deadbeats, been buried for a while now, and suddenly it’s looking like Michael Jackson’s Thriller video!
These Star Trek zombie fans out here partying, laughing in my face.
All our attention has been on Mando S3, trying to guess what genius plot line/scenario has been thought up, in this beautiful world of Star Wars.
Nah Fam, nothing!! NOTHING.
All the damn while they got us distracted with bloody Lizzo and Jack Black, we never noticed the facking USS Enterprise flying past us with their geriatric crew laughing their asses off.
That’s a double whammy I’m not prepared to take!

Me too, just seen a few articles saying it this morning. If he's made certain assurances then I think it could make sense for both sides - he's a popular character that was wasted first time around and he loves the franchise

putting him back in would be a mistake.

SW have a very very loyal and fanatical core fanbase who accept zero criticism on them especially of this variety. there would be a strong negative voice about him after his comments.

I actually named my wee dog Finn so defo no hate from me thats for sure

I'm hoping the tide has turned on those overly aggressive virgins now that Hayden & Ahmed best have had lauded returns

They doubling down with the retcon of the sequels...
I think this is a cloud storm we gonna have to fly through, to get to the sunshine.
Just hope they write them well.

you can be a trekkie and a SW at the same time ya nugget.

Trek is superb. Not seen much of the new ones.

Dicovery was not for me, Picard was rotten to start with (heard its much better now).

Voyager and DS9 is as good as any sci fi tv series out there IMO.

TNG hasnt aged as well as the others and I now have it below the two mentioned.

As with all Star Treks though the first 2 seasons of TNG, DS9 and Voyager are all a good bit below the standards they set from season 3 onwards.

TNG needed the fans on board to get the funding which they got season 3 onwards.

DS9 overlapped the last season or two of TNG when filming so budgets were lower during them and then increased again season 3 onwards.

Voyager exact same first 2 seasons filmed whilst Ds9 was still going and season 3 onwards the budget increased.

The films are far more consistent than SW but dont hit the heights SW manages when it gets it right.

I dont understand the hate for one or the other.

The prequels were badly received at first but Clone Wars was able to be a great show on its own while also adding to the lore of the films.

The sequels are a much bigger mess in my opinion, but I'm sure they can do something good here
