Not sure i get the love for this episode. Literally nothing happened. Even the Ahsoka/Anakin stuff made zero sense.
Also. can somebody tell me at what point we are supposed to have thought Ahsoka is angst ridden and given up on life?
Yeah Cinci posted after I'd seen it, so timeline adds up, just clearly wanted something very different from the episode than the rest of us

Will admit 1ts episode wasn't good - cardboard characters and the Ezra stuff was bad.
I actually looked up the Ezra actor and looks much better when not a 6" holo, so also had a little trepidation, but feel better after a Google

Iv not really much of the animated stuff, so dont know how accurate the character is.... dont know if its the actress or the character but I find her annoying.
I think Baylon is nailing the role, I really like his character so far and his performance.
I think the sabre fights seem really slow and cumbersome compared to how they have evolved over the years and I remember Dawson looking pretty convincing and the choreography being better for her character in Mando. Not really seen anyone pick up on this so maybe its just me, but the sabre fights defo seem off so far IMO.
The show so far has been ok but once again we have a show that the title character doesnt seem to be the main character this seems more like a Sabine series

oh yeah she had the slight badass to her, but the opening scene with the pilots and speeder was ott, but maybe she was just in a bad mood

Again, it's been a while but Sabine in this series feels pretty close to the animated version to me. She was always headstrong, slightly impetuous and opinionated.
Completely agree on Baylan though, absolutely nailing it.
Sabre fights, I'm kind of in the middle with. I've not been disappointed with them as such but neither have I been wowed. They've been fine for me but nothing more.
Tbh, as soon as the trailers came out I knew it would be a live action Rebels so I really don't have an issue with the screen time of Hera/Sabine. In fact I want Thrawn and Ezra back in it asap! And wouldn't say no to Zeb showing up. I certainly don't see it as the Sabine show. But I was a fan of Rebels so it was never likely to bother me as much.

This is what I said. This hair reaffirmed that if they simply made a live action version of TCW 2003/2008 it could be an ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE show I think.
It could last years and would really, really do very well imo
Think of all the characters from TCW, the stories, the duels, the blasters - oh my days just do it already.
Forget these short shows that only last for one season. I want 8 seasons of TCW.

Maybe. I gave it a bit of a pass as an attempt to catch-up those who haven't seen Rebels as to her character.
Well now… and that’s the thing with Ep 5. I think It firmly put the show back in Ashoka’s hand.
I get Cinci’s point of view, on the bigger picture with the main plot, they did pump the brakes a bit.
But in terms of Character development, this was massive, and I think essential. Sure, it could’ve been tighter, but the show likes to give the actors time to breathe, it wants you the viewer, to soak in what you’re seeing. I was scared going into it, but I thought it was beautifully done.
yeah maybe, just made me think of the new sequels and some of the female characters (not anywhere near as bad more a slight hmmm, hopefully what i saw was the worst of it, she seemed okay when she was talking with hera/asohka)
specifically Amilyn Holdo immediately popped into my head, but shes not anywhere near as bad as that creature, just gave me like flashbacks

Reasonable action.........This sucks, that sucks, they suck, makes no sense, awful, filler.
When nothing actually happens and we get pointless flashback meet and greets..............OMG amazing, a lightsaber buzzed, they mentioned Luke, Haydn's hair looks great.....
The only thing missing from episode 5 was a David Attenborough voice over ffs

I don't think there's much they could have done with the episode for Cinci to like it, but seems like he's the outlier. The pacing of the show and the place it was gonna occupy in the larger SW world became pretty obvious by E3.
