Ok... what’s this then?! So Lucasfilm/Disney going against their plan already.. I see..
‘Favreau and Favreau’
Who wrote this, 4za?!
If it’s a side mission of him and Grogu taking on the Jack Black and whatsherface.. then I’m out!!
No more stunt casting. Just tell a good story dammit,
This movie has to be linked to Filoni's project and the Ahsoka show. In my opinion, I don't need or want a Grogu and Mando movie but it could be an attempt to get back to the big screen by Disney, with something safe and proven.

Yeh, or.., the cynic in me says, they saw how Mando Season 3 turned out. They want to take a risk with S4.
While there’s still some popularity left, and to keep Pascal happy and earn a big pay check, He’ll get his own movie, and gets to take it off.
This is a cash grab movie.
They showed us their plan last year, and already changing it up.
Now, the flip side is, maybe the actors strike caused this.
And that a Movie is a better way to go.
Last we saw Mando, he was chilling with Grogu, so a whole new story can be done., introduce us to new characters, maybe some old familiar faces, (cough Luke, cough Han, cough Leia) suddenly there’s signs of life with the Star Wars franchise.
*they don’t want to take a risk with S4.
I just hope they've got a story worth telling in mind. That's what made S1 a success (lone bounty hunter forms unlikely attachment and saves the kid) and made S2 a success (fight to keep Grogu out of the bad-guys hands and back to his Jedi brethren).
S3 seemed so devoid of ideas where Mando and Grogu were concerned. Reuniting them served no real purpose and made no real sense to me so you just had them bubbling about with the vague idea that this force sensitive youngling was going to forgo the training of one of the galaxy's most powerful jedi and instead train as a Mandalorian foundling.
Trouble is (in my mind anyway) that Grogu is such a limited but popular character. He doesn't speak and has limited movement. So he also almost demands to be the key to the storyline in a bad-guys want him; heroes have to save him kind of way. As was the case in S1 and S2. But it's difficult to do that well without feeling like a repeat of S1/2.
If they could perhaps build Grogu into a wider plot - something akin to him being extraordinarily powerful, Yoda'esk levels, and so he's wanted by someone (Thrawn?) for a cloning programme - which was hinted at in the series - then it could work. But for it to feel new it almost feels like Mando has to fail in saving him. Have an ESB type ending - he's lost but the heroes are ready for the final battle.

Yeh.. I’m thinking the same.. a dark ending.
Maybe even kill Grogu or Mando off.,. Maybe Bit hard to do, and knowing Disney, they hopefully looking at a trilogy, and cos I don’t trust them, they somehow gonna link the story to the sequels..
But they have kind of a blank canvas to work on..
They can create their own ‘Dollars’ film with Mando...
thinking about it, it’s such a shame Cad Bane is dead..
His entrance would’ve been epic on the big screen.
A mando movie. Fack sake.
These guys are clueless aren't they.

I think they will off Mando..... give more arc to Grogu who is their merch option and will be kept alive as a result. Its far harder to replace a Grogu than it is Mando especially if he the Mandos are reunited.
far more room for growth with Grogu and his pay check is minimal !!
Neither is female however so its gonna actually be Sabine and the chicks from Bobas scooter gang taking us forward... you know it.
Mando and Grogu fit the episodic type of show that they currently run. I have little interest in seeing a 2 hour movie of Mando going on some random mission and Grogu eventually saving him with the force.
Will be honest, seen this and the comments from the new director of the Rey movie, and just them pushing that I have more or less lost any hope for SW. Even with the good work Jon and Co have been putting in, it now looks like they are gonna miss the mark. Really hope I am wrong, but it just feels like Disney no longer want to tell stories. They just wanna tick boxes and get money for nothing writing p!55 poor stories, this just feels like a cash grab as basically Mando/Grogu were done
I heard Rey will be pregnant with Kylo's force ghost son.

You fool… The Sequels were all a dream/nightmare… everything up to Ep 6 really happened.
So, what will the budget be for this then?
Can it do a story with the Original 3, and somehow, give us a proper passing of the torch.
But I’m all for a Mando type western, with Boba Fett with him.
Doubt they’ll go down that route.
Is Mando not gonna help Ahsoka to take on Thrawn?
I’m gonna hope in hope, hope it’s a great story,
Go back to the Mando at the beginning of S2, or even S1. We want a badass Mando, with kick ass action, and a real genuine protagonist and credible threat to Mando and Grogu..
