I think Boris will be told to jog on if he's gonna try negotiate EU plans, they clearly hate the decision the country has made and have made no secret in wanting rid of us asap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Merkel needs a good deal for both Germany and the UK
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Once we activate article 50, in writing or a speech, Eu will play hardball, but merkel and german banks are good capitalists and want the uk on board, financially.

If access to the single market entails uncontrolled immigration, where does tory boris go,if he negotiates as leader of conservatism next?

We are watching you bo jo lad.

This is bigger than you, and personality/party.

If russia declared war on us?

How often does that happen?

So he's saying that will be the outcome, but hasn't put it in front of the other members of the EU yet...

What's he going to say?, "well I tried" ?

Of course, he could just be trying to calm everything down.....

Don't worry, Georgie Boy has got that covered with his very calm looking 7am speech...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't believe that lying incompetent buffoon hasn't resigned yet. He's worse than Cameron.

Remember, Boris will need to impress 150,000 Tory members if he wants to succeed Cameron.

If Russia declared war on us do you see any of the other EU countries helping us out?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah, but Eu troops are woeful, letting former yugoslavia slaughter each other on the watch of dutch troops, for example, when bosnian muslims were murdered.
Nato saved them.

Really, the Eu does not really like us, and the world is a big place, even going beyond brussels.....imagine that.

Chill, they already did it in Marseille. We just lobbed a few empty Heineken bottles at them and they soon backed off.

Don't get his plan for points based for EU nationals but free movement for UK nationals...

How does that tally with the health care provision in Europe?

Manchester Stays has attracted interest from thousands of people on Facebook

Thousands of people say they will attend a rally in Manchester protesting the EU referendum result

More than 2,000 people are planning to attend the Manchester Stays rally on Albert Square on Tuesday. with the protest aiming to celebrate the region’s European communities.

It comes after the UK voted 51.9 per cent in favour of leaving the European Union on Thursday.

Manchester had the strongest Remain vote in the North West, but districts such as Wigan , Tameside , Oldham , Rochdale and Salford voted to Leave.

The Manchester rally will coincide with a number of similar events across the UK taking place at the same time, including London Stays, Bristol Stays and Liverpool Stays protests.

Organisers are encouraging those attending to bring flags, dress in national clothing, play music and “anything else that promotes connectedness”.

A description on the event Facebook page said: “Manchester comes together to stay connected, and the European love affair continues.

“Manchester Stays is our mark of showing that, regardless of the EU Referendum result, we stand alongside the people of Europe to show we are inclusive, open and patient to understanding how we can make the Leave decision into a positive one for all. We stay with Europe!

“If you’re outside of Manchester we’d love for you to join us in your own towns and cities – here’s to ‘London Stays’, ‘Fort William Stays’, ‘Berlin Stays’, and further afield.

“Moving forward, we want to come together to understand and educate ourselves on how the Leave decision can create a positive environment for all people – regardless of age, gender, race, demographic, location, and their Leave or Remain vote.”

In Manchester 60.4 per cent of people voted to stay, followed by Trafford at 57.7 per cent, Stockport 52.3 per cent and Cheshire East 51.2 per cent.

But the majority of Greater Manchester outer districts voted leave, with Wigan leading at 63.9 per cent people voting leave.

On Sunday ten shadow ministers from the Labour party resigned following the fallout from Brexit, including Manchester Central MP Lucy Powell.

Pretty embarrasing really. I voted Remain but I'll be watching developments and planning for the future rather than having a public whingefest...

...won't stop me moaning on here though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Three times in all of history, I think:

- Seven Years War
- Anglo-Russian War
- Crimean War

We were also technically at war with them when we inexplicably got involved in the Russian Civil War, but I don't think there was a formal declaration - just some ad hoc rucking.

We've been on their side loads more times though, probably on in excess of ten times through history

Aren't we still officially at war with North Korea?
