I'm guessing there is a lot of cash in hand work plus getting benefits which would be worth a hell of a lot when sent back home. not demonising anyone because it's a smart thing to do, but doubt many people who say it's a good thing.

---------------
its best not to guess.. otherwise it just lays bare your assumptions about migrant workers.. just like now.. where you think migrants arrive, work cash in hand, claim benefits and send the money home.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
There will be people who do that. Just as there are people born here who work cash in hand and claim benefits. That is a fact as far as I'm concerned but I don't care. The money they siphon is a drop in the ocean compared to the tax avoidance of the rich.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is why I filtered Red. If it's not black and white, or backed up by at least 25 studies carried out by the worlds top scholars, then you're either a liar or plain stupid.

I'm saying it from personal experience, the guy who owns my offices sometimes picks up the guys who wait outside Wicks/B&Q to mow the lawn and stuff like that, he pays em £40 a day (in London so probably less elsewhere). Most days they don't get picked up. This didn't happen 10 years ago which suggest two things, immigration is too high and employment law means fack all. That you want to pretend it doesn't happen just shows your naivety.

There are already rumours that not only are the EU going to press ahead with treh Euro army, but also make it illegal for member states to have their own army. They also want legal reforms to introduce a European criminal law rather than national laws.

Brexit has affected this particular person very hard.

Any idea what industry they were in?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this even true or has some Bremainer just made it up. I can post any crap I like on the internet and no one can prove whether its true or not and from what Ive seen from the crybabies who cant accept a democratic decision I definitely would not put it past them.

I'm not sure if you mean this didn't happen 10 years ago at your work because I couldn't say, but it definitely did happen in this country 10 years ago. It happens all over the world.

I know a guy who worked illegally in Spain fir a few years, working in construction cash in hand but he had to return when he had an accident on site and lost an arm.

Don't pity him, though, he's a right Twatt

Do you not think its a bit rude telling someone living here, who may face serious repercussions, in terms of employment and housing, to 'get over it you lost'

..............

No, not in the slightest.

Whining on an internet forum isn't going to change anything is it?

...................

I do

...............

Yes, but as you have proved on here in the last hour, you are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so I will treat your opinion with utter contempt.

I did warn you on your own stupidity, but you still had to carry on.

Im not saying it doesn't happen, as my window cleaner and guy that cuts my lawn are both paid in cash.

Both are British, and have been doing it for years.

That would be EU suicide. I can't imagine them wanting to do that.

"Whining on an internet forum isn't going to change anything is it?"

There's not valid reason for debate? There's plenty of reason for debate.

See here you go being a condescending 5unt. I'm sorry I've been agressive in my replies. I take exception to someone who isn't really affected that much saying 'get over it'.

I did warn you, soft lad, but your desire to keep looking stupid overcame you.

Stop being a baby.

The vote is done, the 'Remain' lost. All the whining in the world isn't going to change that. You just come off like Arsene Wenger as being a poor loser.

I will let you in on a little secret in half an hour or so.

I agree. There's no way countries are going to tolerate this level of removal of sovereignty.

The UK certainly wouldn't.

I did say rumours. I'm not taking it as all going to happen, but it does raise a genuine point that there will be further changes in the EU which, particualrly if we had voted to remain, would further erode the sovereignty of the member states.

Not cash in hand work but the 30 or 40 people waiting outside B&Q etc. every day.

I'm amazed something like the two examples would ever get past the level of office junior, never mind mid/high level talks. They're preposterous ideas.

See you see whining when what's been going on, on both sides, has been debate between a bunch of adults about a contentious decision that will shake the future of people living here for generations.

You could've joined in, but alas.

Can't be rsed carrying on this 'discussion'. I'll crack on debating with people who want to do it in the right way.

All guesswork. They can't get hold of any substantial proof.

I believe he did, however.
