Osborne will do everything he can to prove himself right. I genuinely can't believe he hasn't resigned yet.

Osborne tells @bbcnickrobinson that "the country will be poorer"

Where's the plan? Osborne says "it was not the responsibility of those who wanted to remain to articulate" proposals for leave...

Osborne: Conservative Party leadership contest will articulate visions for what Leave will look like & how single market access protected
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Translation - the poor will get poorer while I give billionaires and huge corporations further tax breaks.

-------------
There's no way there will be an increase in corporation tax, inward investment is stymied by the Brexit anyway.

Osborne has declared an increase in tax to come, this will be either income tax or VAT or both.

VAT of 25% and income tax of 36%?

Welcome to Norway.

The Brexiteers did not think that far. To keep companies here, they have to offer them more corporate dole money.

That money has to come from somewhere. I wonder, where will tories look to find that money.

Hmmm

People all over the Western world are angry and are shifting increasingly to anti-establishment solutions.

Right wing anti-establishmentarianism is stronger because for decades now, the left has been unable to present viable solutions for the people's problems.

In the meantime, aided and abetted by the traditional left-wing parties, corporate capitalism has taken such a stranglehold on the economy that political parties have become virtually powerless in the faceof the corporations. The most they can do is obtain the odd concession that does not threaten the status quo.

It isn't enough for those of us who still lean left to decry increasing inequality.

People are well aware of where the power lies, but also know that right now it's either that or risk a plunge into the abyss. The latter will only happen when desperation reaches breaking point, but that could still be generations away. For the time being we are doomed to living in an increasingly darwinist, dog-eat-dog society.

This chaos is so much fun to watch. So much fun.

Cannot wait for when companies start to leave and all that EU funding stops

As opposed to morons voting against their economic interests?

Nah

Enjoy the meltdown, long may it continue. Wonder how far the pound will fall.

There does seem to be quite a few who are lining up to laugh at people right at the bottom of the food chain in a sort of " haha, told you so, I'm cleverer than you" way

It's not that though, is it? Nothing's happened yet that anyone with half a brain wouldn't have expected. Yet people like you and MUDD are thriving on it because you want it to be the new way of things, so you can be all smug, arrogant and superior, like you're trying to be now.

The truth is, you just look like spoilt, bitter little children

No it wasn't.

The 'all those people who voted out did so cos they hate immigrants' attitude was the #1 problem.

Anybody that holds that view were the reason that Brexit won.
