Matic been really good since the restart, he’s a weird player who I never really rate but teams he play in consistently do well

The thing with Matic is he goes through phases of good form. Beginning of next season he'll probably play $hit again. It's a problem position which I'd like to see strengthened when the window opens but I'm resigned to the fact that no midfielder is coming in, well certainly not anybody in the defensive midfielder/playmaker mould.

I guess if we give him another season and Garner has a successful loan spell next season, he might be in a position to better challenge the season after.

The need for Matic wouldn’t be as big if our cb’s could pass out for the back. Lindelof and Maguire are meant to be ball playing defenders but they obviously aren’t.

It’s weird that a player in a position/role like Matic has such ups and downs with form
