The Observer reports that 4 Rwandan refugees were granted refugee status in the UK over "well-founded" fears of persecution in their own country, even as the UK government argues the east African country is a 'safe place' to send asylum seekers' picked up from small boats in the Channel.

You really couldn't make it up if you tried.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This was posted the other day. We could potentially have a situation where an asylum seeker from Rwanda, is sent to Rwanda whilst their claim is processed and if it is successful, they get to stay in Rwanda.

Guys, after 8 years I finally found a single Brexit benefit.

British people who come here to Oz normally have to work on a farm for a few months as part of their working holiday visa process. Now they don’t. So the young British people coming here are enjoying that single solitary Brexit benefit. I’m sure it was worth it 😂

Never doubt the veracity of "Israeli authorities".
Even if it is true, which is possible, less than 10 possible participants still doesn't justify the slaughter of innocents in designated U.N. compounds which is an internationally recognised war crime.

I certainly wouldn't take Israel's word on anything U.N. related.
But I do wonder if Israel has a right to "defend" itself against the U.N.
Look out NYC.

They got their excuse last week. One of their bases in Iraq was bombed by Iranian backed terrorists.

I’m not defending nor deflecting anything, so that doesn’t make any sense.

I posted the reports of UNRWA members being linked with the October 7th attacks and all you two had to say was ‘well I won’t believe Israeli accusations’ (not mentioning that several people have already been fired by the UNRWA) and that it doesn’t justify the killing of innocent civilians as if anyone (including myself) implied otherwise.

It’s like having a discussion with an American Democrat about the shortcomings of Joe Biden and their dogmatic obligation to bring up Trump every single time.

You can have a conversation about one without the other you know?

I think it’s actually quite a major story, part of a very long and major conflict. Deflecting about civilians causalities from the Israeli attacks or that because the Israelis have raised a public complaint about the issue implicitly meaning that the complaint has less merit is daft. People have already been fired, it’s quite clearly a legitimate complaint; hence why so many countries have now paused financial aid. It should make you question how deep it goes: is it just a matter of a fringe group of individuals? Were they properly involved in the attacks? Does it reflect a wider conflict of interest within the U.N. or a demonstration of bias / erosion of neutrality?

Was he referring to Israel? I’m not so sure Arab. Think he’s talking about Iran and that Biden has been too weak.

Senator Rick Scott said, “Unlike the brutal Iran-backed Hamas terrorists, the people of Israel are fair and just in their actions to defend themselves. Tying the hands of Israel as it fights against terrorists for its very survival is unacceptable and un-American. The terrorists Israel seeks to destroy invaded its country and brutally beheaded babies, burned people alive, raped and murdered young women and are STILL holding hundreds, including Americans, hostage. It is disgusting that Democrats, including President Biden, would be considering limits on Israel and its right to defend itself. There should not be a single discussion about additional conditions on Israel aid until every single Hamas terrorist is dead. It is embarrassing that Americans and leaders within our own government would consider helping Hamas when these Iran-backed terrorists are fighting to eliminate Israel and all who live there, including innocent Americans held hostage. It is disgusting. Enough is enough—no further conditions on Israel aid until Hamas is destroyed.”
