Sweep sweep...

Xenophobe Clappy strikes again, blaming Johnny Foreigner for the increase in corruption because of his warped bigotry and not, for example, white native Scott Benton MP taking backhanders from bookies, white native Matty Hancock MP, scratching the back of his pub landlord for £multi-millions contract for PPE like white native Michelle Mone, white native Robert Jenrick receiving a brown envelope for "party donation" to wave through a planning exception opposed by the local authority...etc etc etc

But but but immigrants...

I put it that a linear regression of economy size versus position in the corruption index would show an r squared value well below 0.5
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And don't forget a p-value below 0.05!

But you want to first transform GDP into log. Otherwise, your homoscedasticity is going to be wack!

Immigration will add an extra 6.1 million people to the population by 2036, according to the @ONS.

UK population is projected to reach 70 million by mid-2026 - faster growth than previously forecast because of higher immigration.

Are you suggesting a correlation or causation between size of economy and extent of corruption? 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you suggesting you're unable to read?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You seemed to be suggesting a relationship between corruption and economy size. Why don’t you spell it out. And at the same time let’s see if you’re brave enough to stand behind previous comments from you when you had a different account/username.

No I didnt

Hmm... bit strange nobody is willing to recognise that a culture of corruption may be tradition for some that come here and that they may want to preserve it thereby increasing our corruption levels.

Bit xenophobic that to deny others cultures

Wtf are you on about

posted on 30/1/24

If people come here from countries in which corruption is part of its culture then our corruption levels are going to increase. It's not that hard to understand really

What countries are you talking about?

Russia?

So you actually think the reason our country has been measured to be more corrupt than ever before is because of corrupt foreign immigrants and their corrupt foreign cultures?

Hmmm 🤔

posted on 30/1/24

Oh dear, I didn't say there's a single reason did I. I'm sure like most things there are multiple factors of which demographics have an influence. Which is quite a basic thing to understand for anyone who's objective about anything.

Not that you're here to be objective about anything.

Ok so just because you repeatedly suggested it doesn't mean you think it

I repeatedly suggested that if you bring people here from cultures of corruption then the level of corruption is going to increase. I didn't say it's the only reason.

Really not that hard for you to get your head around.

The anti-corruption charity said the scandal around the awarding of PPE contracts during the pandemic and concern that “both the UK government’s anti-corruption champion and independent advisor on ministerial interests [had] resigned”.

It added: “The data shows that while perceptions of bribery generally are improving, there are growing concerns over cronyism and patronage in politics, and its effect on the management of public funds.”

And wtf has this got to do with public services?

Have you looked into how Transparency International collate the data for the corruption perceptions index?

By wanging on about immigration it sounds like you haven't and you just want to blame corrupt foreigners

No wanging on about immigration, that's what you're doing.

I can see why this person set up a separate account to post all this stuff. Its pretty embarrassing.

Denmark has very similar immigration figures as the UK.

And many countries high up on the corruption index, have incredibly high immigration rates, like Singapore, Sweden and Switzerland.
