The BBC knew he had been charged last November, despite the fact he was 'on sick leave' they continued to pay his full salary and gave him a £40k payrise.
Maybe it's time to defund the BBC and find an alternative way of running it.

There was a woman on C4 News who explained how all media companies had a 'get out' clause in the contracts of high profile employees if said employees actions could be deemed to show the company in a bad light.
I admit 'Defund the BBC' was a tad strong but it annoys me how they spend the Licence payers money at times.

Some professions you'd have to inform your employer if you were arrested or worse charged
Normally when you clients are financial or you're looming after a protected characteristic like children
It would be required for a journalist... If Huw didn't tell them then the BBC probably didn't know until the news broke
