I’m not against it per se, our pensions are quite terrible, but I am getting the the point that I feel older people shouldn’t be able to vote on young people’s future.

The comments on that BBC article depress me.

Even suggesting pensions be tied to inflation instead is apparently an outrageous suggestion that risks killing pensioners.

The "cost" honestly doesn't matter. A country isn't a business it doesn't need to be run like one. Human resources and using taxes to decrease inequality (not in order to spend but to protect from oligarchy) is what matters.

This whole obsession over national debt is a massive distraction.

I'd be more in favour of the triple lock if they applied it to public sector pay as well.

The most noticeable thing whenever I come back is how shabby everything looks now. The UK is in a bad place.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee awards the Nobel Peace Prize annually "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."

Well it does matter, given that we simply don’t have the workforce to pay for it, if current trends continue - particularly when the amount of wealth the older generation is sitting on is one of the causes of the population problem.
