One of the more reassuring things about Gerrard is he will not be short of offers since retiring and absolutely would not give up his gig as a pundit and with Liverpool to come to Scottish football without cast iron guarantees around resource. If he does sign up, I would expect it to mean investment is round the corner which is crucial.

in fairness, the guy telling him he would be getting say 30 million is the same guy that told u guys he would pay 30 million so...

Oh there’ll be investment in the form of selling players and players out of contract raising funds to spend. A few million no doubt.
But you can’t help but believe that with all this boardroom fall out the soft loans will dry up; hard kind be unobtainable and forget about some mystery financier rifuhg in to the rescue.
If Gerrard is happy with that then he seriously underestimates the task ahead which is no great shock with the attitude down south to our game. Many have tried to come up and rule the roost and for many years they’ve been wrong.

‘I think they are going for him because they think he will be a success’
That’s the thought process of a visionary board right there. Wonder what they were thinking when they went for Pedro.
i think we need to remember that souness bought in quite the array of talent, francis, hately, woods, butcher, wilkins, stevens.
The onto mo johnstone etc.
i dont think gerrard is going to bring in that calibre of player do you.
I think they are going for him because they think he will be a success.
And I understand their logic.
It's like a Mark Viduka comment.

Zach. We’ve been hearing about this significant investment for years. Who in their right mind would either buy into a loss making business and especially one with practically no chance of payback and having to oust a board that is owed many millions?
I just don’t get it.

Neither do i tbh
I'm just passing on what i have been telt
You just stick to passing on the cookies my friend.
I am sure Gerrard turning up at your house selling his vision would have more of an impact than Murty.
Irvine would have more of an impact than Murty, not to mention he would know more about the club.

tbh none of us know what gerrard is like on the training ground or dressing room.
souness and lennon both loved the clubs they were at, it meant everything to them, more than a job and u can bet that was built into their team talks etc, meant more to them.
i dont think a gerrard, or a barnes would have that. i'm not saying gerrard will be like barnes but one of the main arguements i have heard since sunday is "no fight" - wonder if that will change.
