And don't think you can put a number on how much it would take to win the league. Looking at Celtic, the players I'd say were your better players would be likes of Tierney, Rogic, Dembele and even Ajer. A lot of your buys haven't worked out. Ntcham looked a lot better second half of season to be fair, Brown obviously a few bob years ago but still.

Whoever we sign, they're not going to click together as a team or adapt to Scottish football overnight in most likelihood.

You reckon everybody would have renewed had Ashley and the Easdales still controlled the club? Or the Charles Green year before Ally announced, "Buy the tickets"? Me neither.

Staunchness has its limits and sometimes needs a helping hand whether that be an auld man in a cardigan, "Gaun fur 55" or promises of massive investment (nee warchest).
