i dont need for it to bother every rangers fan, and its not guys on here that im bothered about it hurting.

its the worst of you, the ones on follow follow, the ones who believe that "tarriers" are infiltrating the structures of society and blah blah blah

the hate filled bastirts in ur support will be absolutely seething and it would be delicious.

we still need 8 right enough before anything else, long way to go and football can change very quickly

I don't think they would Lex. See the 10 in a row thing, I could be way off but I genuinely believe that is more important to Celtic than Rangers. Any Rangers fans I know pretty much know that it is inevitable and after everything that has happened and how difficult a road it has been there is an acceptance that it is more important to build the club back up than throw cash at stopping Celtic within a couple of years.

I also think if stopping 10 in a row was the aim they wouldn't be going for Gerrard as boss, they would be throwing money at an established top Manager and promising him a lot of money to spend. Rangers have been pretty clear in their blueprint long term and from that perspective Gerrard ticks a lot of boxes. I don't think there is a danger of doing anything to harm the club just to stop 10 in a row.

Your chairman said it was important to stop ten in a row.

I personally think Celtic are looking at twelve thirteen in a row.

Really? Nooooooo!

‘Putting the focus on winning the league within 3 years is just silly.’

That’s not really what the mantra was in 2016 when you returned to the top league though, was it? I think there was a sizeable number in your club thought otherwise.

if Hibs win on Saturday I can see them winning on Wed and Sunday

however I reckon Aberdeen will get a least a point on Saturday and then lose to you guys

I still think we will probably come second. My predictions for the following games:
Players get a reaction from Murty going and we beat Killie on Saturday, Hibs beat Aberdeen to take us all on to the same points.

We beat Aberdeen on Tuesday and Hibs lose to Hearts. We go 3 points clear of both with much better goal difference.

Lose to Hibs last day, finish second.

Dream on sunshine.

Hibs will finish second.

Anyway, how are you Smid?

Rangers AND Aberdeen will bottle it.

I can't speak for a sizeable number really and speculate on what they might think.

You missed the big banner at the start of that season then?

The ‘going for 55’ one?!? Must have missed most of the comments on here as well after the semi final.

Fair points on 10IAR

I had a discussion with my uncle at the weekend about Rangers needing a solid 3 year plan to stop 10. 8 or 9 don't make a difference as they have been done before.

However by appointing someone like Gerrard (if they do) then to me he is a long term plan.

If you were looking to stop 10 you'd be bringing in the likes of Steve Clarke for 2 years to steady the ship, strengthen the team and the fight then going all out to stop 10.

Do I want us to get 10? Absolutely. It is something that has never been done in Scotland.

Do fans like yourself want to stop us doing it? Absolutely. There is where the split happens though. Some will be more interested in stopping Celtic breaking records that they'd risk your club financially again. Where as the more sensible fans just want a club for the long term and are not prepared to risk going through financial difficulties again

Now my question. I don't have shares or ever been involved in that but what I don't get is how can you get investment? Surely if someone buys shares then all they are doing is giving another shareholder the money to sell them. It doesn't put any more money into the club kitty.

Season books will bring in around £14M a season, merchandising, food and drink, hospitality etc are all what brings in money. Even if you make the EL group stages there isn't big money in it so how does investment come without taking out loans?

You had an investor in Mike Ashley and he was chased. Now he is a businessman and was out for himself but if he wasn't throwing money in like fans hoped at the time (£50M was touted) then who else is going to put money in?

the problem rangers have it that a bulk of their fans don't have that patience and neither would a bulk of ours.

we gave burns 3 years to catch rangers before we had to let him go.

thats unheard of these days.

I see Hearts beating Hibs at Tynecastle, that will be a really tough game for them.

Toilermy man how are things? I am ok mate, a few more grey hairs hairs. Good to see you back on here, what is happening up in the Granite City?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The thing is I can see any of the three of them finishing second. None of them are reliable at all.

I'm ok. Sadly had some bad news on Sunday.

It's an absolutely gorgeous day in Aberdoom. Touching 33 degrees C already. Time to look out the leopardskin thong again. Probably have to boil wash it first right enough.
