I’m having this ridiculous argument with a deluded Chelsea fan who thinks that Salah scoring 44 goals and Hazard scoring 17 goals in the last season isn’t a good enough reason for Salah being better

or is de gea better than salah coz he saved 52 almost certain goals- who is better.

Salah had a better season than Hazard. Don’t know if that makes him a better player overall though. Clive Allen got 49 goals in 52 appearances in one season for Spurs, but they don’t talk about him as one of their best ever.

If Salah keeps doing it season in season out then fair enough.

Why would you double Gerrard's goals to get Lampard's total when Gerrard scored 190 club goals as well as 121 assists . So you're saying Lampard scored 380? Don't be ridiculous.

I think Hazard is better personally, not much of an insult considering Hazard's probably the best player in the prem.

I think next year will be the year of Mane - he is the real superstar in that team. Worldie of a player.

I watched the game myself. Hazard wasn’t impressive. I actually can’t remembwr the last time I watched Hazard play and was really really impressed. Definitely not in 2018.

Don't disagree with that but if Hazard was truly a world class player he'd overcome that. When you compare him to Suarez & Bale in the PL, IMO we've had stronger squads across Jose & Conte's reigns (minus last season) than both Pool & Spurs did at those times and both of them shone through in a way Hazard hasn't managed too yet.

Don't get me wrong he's our best player by a mile and we can't afford to lose him, but he's just not on that level. He's very close but just lacking slightly. IMO anyway.

Exactly right R.E. Suarez and Bale. Suarez took a team whose best players apart from him were Sturridge, a young Raheem Sterling and a slightly past it Gerrard, and he dragged them to almost winning the title scoring 30+ goals in the process. Barcelona immediately said ‘gimme’ as soon as the season was over. They had seen enough. Bale did similar with Tottenham, although the team itself wasn’t as successful, the actual players he was playing alongside were garbage. You literally just had to stop Bale and you could stop Tottenham completely. Didn’t stop Bale from singlehandedly destroying teams. Salah did the same for Liverpool last season. I was watching the CL Semi final with and when Salah scored his first goal the first thing I thought, for whatever reason, was that Hazard wouldn’t have done that. Even Salah’s second goal I don’t think Hazard would have had the composure to score. He would have fluffed it.

I don’t think Hazard is a bad player. He’s an excellent player. But he’s never reached the level that Salah did last season. People say Hazard does it season in season out. What does hazard do every season? He’s never had a single individual season that’s come close to Salah’s last season. People say you can’t make judgements and it’s too soon to say Salah is better because it’s only been one season where salah has been better than hazard, but you can take any season in Hazard’s career and compare it to this one season by salah, and that Hazard season is completely blown out of the water by this salah season.

What did he do? People have low standards for HAzard. Some players have to score a couple of goals to be considered having a good game. Hazard just has to dribble the ball a couple of times and make a couple of good passes.

Put Salah in a a Chelsea team and you'll see him do nothing like he did in 2014, Hazard won a PL title and PFA player of the season, Stick Hazard in Liverpool/City system and he wins the Balon D'Or.

Would love to see them together. Hazard played the silva role for us a lot this year. Salah plays on the last man. Very different roles. Hazard as a ball carrier is the best in the league. Salah last year was fantastic. Would be some duo
