I reckon he’ll end up in Italy next.

It's a shout Darren bit it's not the most open minded of places for the black player tbh.

On top of that he's been hugely successful for Belgium who are the international equivalent of a big club.

................

Belgium are the International equivalent of Arsenal.

Good at battering crap teams, come up short time and time again when it matters though.

He's only been at two big clubs and he hasn't failed at either of them....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolutely failed at Chelsea and he's been dropped at Utd.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How did he fail at Chelsea?

They'd be the only big club that has never won anything, ever, at all in history.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They're the third best international team in the world currently according to the world cup, and honestly, in the tournament itself they were second to only France. They are right at the top of International football.

They beat Brazil and only narrowly lost to the eventual winners France. Maybe in 2014 or 2016 you'd be correct but not any longer.

You can not succeed but still not fail. Lukaku never failed at Chelsea. If anything, he left before he had a chance to prove himself either a success or a failure.

How has this debate lasted 500+ comments? Any Arsenal fan who comes on this thread must be p!ssing themselves, Lacazette & Aubameyang destroy them both

Seriously it's like comparing Renee Zellweger & Catherine Zeta Jones on looks, they're both OK but neither are w@nk bank material. The debate only exists at rating the degrees of averageness, what's the point?

Lukaku spent one season at Chelsea in which he was too young to be given more than a handful of playing opportunities. He then had two successful years on loan with two different PL clubs before deciding he didn't want to return to Chelsea and left permanently. Where's the failure there?

That’s true, but that hasn’t stopped black players playing there. Same in Spain.

I’m no big fan of Lukaku, but as I said I do believe he has a higher standing in football than among most fans. He’s created a big reputation for himself as a goal scorer. And while his all round ability and big game record is a huge issue compared to the elite, goal scorers are still valued commodities at big clubs. It’s why United and Chelsea wanted him the summer before last.

"Man Utd are the biggest club in the whole world."-

It's only been five years yet United fans are already banging on about history because the future is so bleak

Also biggest club in the world? you deluded buffoon your club is a cockroach compared to Real Madrid.

"Man Utd finished second last season. Chelsea finish fifth."

United fans wearing second like a badge of honour for the supposed biggest club in the world you ain't half developing some small club traits.

Fergie would be having fits if he saw this, everything he spent a quarter of century building ruined due to the mentality of United fans like Erik happy with second place and meaningless wins against the eventual Champions Matt Busby would be spinning in his grave....

It's not history, Man Utd are currently the biggest club in the world. Ask any person around the world about football clubs and the first name they say is Manchester United. That name is bigger than any other club in football.

And I just stated facts re the second place finish. Man Utd finished 2nd. Chelsea finished 5th. Dunno what you're talking about when you mention badges of honour or whatever.

Not succeeding means you haven't done well. Failure means you did badly. Lukaku never failed at Chelsea because he never really played for Chelsea so he never had the chance to play badly for them. Morata is a player who has actually failed at Chelsea.

Real are much bigger club than United, even most of your fellow United fans would admit that.

"And I just stated facts re the second place finish. Man Utd finished 2nd. Chelsea finished 5th. Dunno what you're talking about when you mention badges of honour or whatever."

While Fergie was in charge the mere thought of second place mortified anyone connected with United, now you are using it to gloat at other teams, like i said Fergie would be having fits if he saw the mentality some of the supporters have now in his absence.

And you have certainly changed your tune, this time last year you were banging the trophies > league position tune now you are doing the total opposite

I wasn't gloating. I was just pointing it out. Weren't you accusing me of doing what you're doing right now re. De Gea and Kepa?

And in terms of trophies > league positions, the big difference is even though United didn't finish highly in the PL in Mourinho's first season they qualified for the Champions League due to winning the Europa League. Chelsea may have won a trophy last season, but it's a huge negative that they didn't qualify for the CL.
