K2 was like Sakho. But the point was that he’s not been this idealist with regard to players as he’s never been in a position to due to clubs he has coached. It was about improving players and the team.

He doesn't expect finished articles but he's not going blindly try and mould a player if he thinks he won't ever fit.

He has ruthlessly dropped/disgarded a good few members of our squad already, including one who had a solid case for being the worlds best young defender 12 months ago.

Might do if the club are forcing him to like with Morata.

But that’s beside the point. He’s a very good coach that has a history of improving players so it would be interesting to see how much Lukaku would improve working with such a coach.

Lukaku has blatant limitations, but there are clear areas that coaching would help him improve him as a player. Especially in a more creative team. Doubt it’d be enough to see him reach the top echelons but I’d still be interested to see what better coaching could do to his game.

Morata is better, that is why he has played for Real Madrid, Juventus and Chelsea whilst Lukaku has bounced around mid level clubs and ironically is playing for one again this season.

Erik how about an article on Lukaku v Lacazette as I think that Lacazette has been better value for money than Lukaku.

Not very logical reasoning there mate, because there is very little in it.

Lacazette has got more all-round game,good ball control and touching ability,quickness and a good turning and twisting ability while under pressure when he shoots.Lacazette has even better holdup play than Lukaku and Morata combined though.That makes him a better overall player than Lukaku and Morata especially when none of them is scoring goals.

Lukaku scored nearly 30 goals last season. At what point did people stop being impressed by 30 goals in a season by a striker? It used to be the benchmark for a top striker.

That wouldn’t be a bad comparison, although I’d still say Lukaku just about. He’s more proven at a higher level than lacazette

I take your point, Bats didn't finish 2nd which these days is the best achievement possible bar winning Europa.

Lukakus achievements are I believe 6 consecutive seasons now of high goal scoring in the premier league and a fine international goal scoring record as well.

Any other striker had the goal scoring record of Lukaku and they’d get praised for it. With Lukaku, exactly like BK said, it’s always about finding excuses to not give him credit. It’s strange.

As opposed to Morata who's both a crap goalscorer and a crap footballer. I really hope he's not leading the line for Chelsea past January or the summer at the latest.

Erik can you imagine if Chelsea signed Nabil Fekir of Lyon,Mauro Icardi of Inter Milan and Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli,it would be world class especially with those three and Hazard plus Kante in the team.We would become one of the favourites to win Champions League at least on paper.
