Called it!

would like utd to get him but not at the cost of blowing our transfer budget on one player. hopefully selling pogba and smalling we should have a fair bit of money for a midfielder, right winger and striker at least.

I hope we get him. Needs a bit of an attitude adjustment but perhaps working with Poch will be what he needs

Sky UK are crediting it to Sky Germany and Sky Germany are crediting the English Media

I’d be very surprised if we got him in our current state.

Then again if someone said in February 2016 we’d be signing Paul Pogba that summer I’d have called them nuts.

Doubt it.

I would like us to sign him. But honestly cannot see us get smooth run in to sign him. We'll fall behind in the queue.

I have a feeling that Bayern may eventually swoop in for him.

I think its more likely Bayern go for Sane. Reportedly Sancho wan5s to comes back to England too.

On current form, Sancho is the hotter property. I think Bayern will keeping tabs on him. Plus, they usually get what they want from Dortmund. Not to say it will definitely happen, but they will be in the running.

I don’t think Bayern spend that much money on players though - as in over £100 million

They usually get their players on the (relative) cheap from other German clubs

Bayern have no chance of signing Sancho.

1) Sane has been out all season
2) Bayern don't usually have competition for Dortmund players who want to stay in Germany

I think he'll come back to England, if not this summer then next. He may well decide Man Utd isn't right for him though.

That's a point, but they could offer them a player or two to lower the cost.

Could see him going back to City

posted on 12/2/20

Can't see Sancho leaving Dortmund where he's challenging in the league and playing in the CL, to go to United who are eighth and not going to be in the CL.

posted on 12/2/20

Would be an exciting move but there are some big reasons for Sancho not to choose us.

Depends if he believes in the project or not.

The lack of CL football is unlikely to phase him too much, if he believes that it is a short term absence.

Seems the obvious move. They need to spend big to catch up with Liverpool and variation in attack has been a key issue for them, I'm sure they'd rather convince Sane to stay though and invest in a midfielder and defence.

The Chelsea board wants Ziyech AND Sancho.

That's just greedy.

Thing with City is that they usually stick to a certain bracket regarding fees and wages when it comes to individual signings.

Which is why they don’t break the British transfer record, nor the highest wage to an individual, nor getting near the same for the whole of Europe. However, collectively their transfer and wage spending is comparable to all the biggest spenders in Europe.

It's a mark of a well-run club. Not just the financial discipline but having the squad within a narrower wage bracket should lead to less inflationary pressure and cause less envy / better squad cohesion.

RR, yes very much so. It’d be nice if United could get back to that one day.

They already have CHO & Pulisic. Pedro and Willian will likely leave but can’t see them going for Sancho as well now.

posted on 12/2/20

Why not? Barkley, Willian, Pedro, Giroud and maybe Bats going leaves them short in attack even if the do sign Ziyech. Chelsea will be the biggest spenders in England this summer.

posted on 12/2/20

Hoping we still go for Sancho.

Lampard likes 4-2-3-1 so I can see Ziyech played more as a 10 with hopefully Sancho on the right and one of CHO/Pulisic on the left.

There's so much positional flexibility amongst sancho/ziyech/pulisic/hudson-odoi/mount
