Funny that I haven’t seen a single person produce stats, or anything to back up the hypothesis of the league being weaker. It’s just because teams are perceived to be weaker’.

And media dictates perceptions. People take on these ideologies and pass them off as their own. When in reality most don't have a free thought of their own. That's why bells like Poyet need ignoring because he's basing that opinion on nothing.

There’s been lots of stats bandied around on here, in the many debates about this subject and I’ve previously commented that I think stats can often be misleading, for both sides of the coin.

In fact looking at 7th to 17th from last season at the 26 game stage. 7th on 36 points (38 this season) 17th on 24 (25 this season)

Season before last 7th 44 pts, 17th 22pts
16/17 7th 44 pts 17th 22pts
15/16 40 & 24

I could go on

Well given that I don’t agree the league is weaker, you don’t need to.
