No I have met the lad that he said the info has come from. My mate has a couple of care homes and knows a lot of people that work in the care industry and NHS. He's a serious bloke, not someone to talk sh!te. So I'm inclined to trust him.

I suspect he's on a ventilator as well. There's no need for him to be in the ICU

To receive oxygen.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, but I hop not.

Raab let slip on Monday that he last spoke to Boris on Saturday, which all but confirmed something was up.

Doesn't stack up with the notion that he has been sedated on a ventilator since Thursday.

You can be in ICU and not be on a ventilator, and just be on oxygen. Probably also an either conscious or subconscious level of precaution with him being prime minister.

Coincidentally I also have a colleague who knows someone who’s working at St Thomas’ They told me he was not on a ventilator when he was first admitted or overnight on his first night which was what was also released to the press.

I have to say I have been wondering why we hadn't seen the obligatory thumbs up shot from his bedside yet.

No phones are to be permitted in hospitals

We'll get told what the government want us to hear, (whether is true or not).

Not surprised at no picture, he’s on ICU, already a more secure area of hospital in normal situations. Still I am equally surprised he hasn’t released a personal message since on ICU eg. tweeted anything or released a selfie-video type thing. Thinking probably too cynically/deeply about it (it’s quarantine so it’s allowed) I think there’s lots of reasons why not:

- He releases a personal message saying he’s fine and goes on to take a turn for the worse
- he releases a video personal message with his oxygen mask/nasal prongs on, which doesn’t seem entirely appropriate for a prime minister
- he releases a personal message and the public tell him to shut up and concentrate on getting better
- maybe he is just shutting up and concentrating on getting better

Strange how I keep see nurses posting photos in hospitals on Facebook.

It wouldn't surprise me, would anybody really trust Gove, Hancock or Rabb to tell the real truth. All three said he was well and running the country just a few days back, when it was obvious he was very unwell.

We need to get them sacked

ffs like they're going to allow someone in with a camera even on a phone and allow them to take photographs for the internet or newspapers for a "thumbs up for Boris"

Doubt anyone will be allowed in unless they are part fo the health team working there.

I think we take the security of our PM quite seriously. Even the Times had a photo of an ICU from a completely different hospital

Well Boris’ timeline that we can follow, lines with most reported guidance on symptom progression for patients who get severe symptoms. If we take the time from when his positive test was released to the public, he was admitted to hospital on day 8. He was escalated to ICU on day 10. He is now reported as stable and responding to treatment on day 12. This follows most reported courses of severe symptom coronavirus (peak symptom severity around day 10). Entirely possible (and probably) that he was better just 1-2 days before he was admitted to hospital because that’s literally how the disease works.

If they are lying it'll be for the good of the country. So I don't have a problem with that.

Who said it would be the newspapers in there? I just think that if he was OK he'd want to put a photo out there and would have had one released.
