At what point did we try and throw either the whole of Scottish Football, or the entirety of European Football, under the bus in order to make more money for ourselves purely to help get us out of the mess we got ourselves in?
I was alluding more to your comment about cutting your cloth.
And I don’t believe for a second that rangers-or pretty much any club in Scotland-acts for the better of the game in general.
I didn't say any club did act for the better of the game in general....and my point about cutting their cloth is genuine and perfectly valid
There a thousands of clubs around the world that are in debt......there are only a handful that are trying to join a super league and tell the rest of football to fck off, purely for their own greed...and for some...purely to stave off either going bust, or having to start living much more within their means.
The old firm used to be giants on the European stage....now we have to work on far smaller budgets and we are also rans as a result.
If Barcelona and Real Madrid are now struggling to compete financially at the very top of European football......well guess what, they have to do exactly what teams like the old firm, the Dutch clubs, and many others have had to do over the past few decades.....take their medicine and stop trying to compete at a level they simply cannot sustain or operate at...it's that simple.
I’m so pleased that potentially the biggest threat to the game has descended into the usual petty OF squabbles 😂😂

The thing is they've found a way that involves not taking their medicine. It's greedy and looking out for number 1 but I don't see it as being any worse than the introduction of non champions to the champions league or indeed the group stage to increase matches and TV revenue.
It’s not really valid though, is it?
Even after admin and liquidation, rangers have far outlived their means since 2012. You’ve posted horrendous losses every year, and are reliant on benevolent benefactors.
You want to argue about a point I wasn’t making-I’m not addressing the super league debate, I’m pointing out that it’s a bit rich to suggest other clubs live within their means, when your own club haven’t managed it for quite some time now. Most clubs have some form of debt-that’s a given. Rangers are reliant on money literally being handed over to them to keep going.
And before it’s said, I’ve been consistent in saying that I seriously doubt another admin event for rangers anytime soon-I’m only pointing out a fact.

Well my point was in relation to the super league debate, and clubs trying to get themselves out of debt by reforming the whole of European football for their own gain
The fact my club are in debt has nothing to do with that
Good for you. My point stands though-I wouldn’t go around telling others to cut their cloth when yours is looking a bit raggedy right now.

I remember sizable sections of the bear support expressing ill will against the rest of Scottish football.
Ditto large sections that wanted to go to English tier 7 or whatever.
Ditto ill feeling that the authorities rescued the TV deal by showing lower league games 'it's all aboot ra rangers' but bears apparently telling Sky, BT, BBC and Premier to ram it at various points they were unhappy.
I remember all sorts of threats against Raith, Dundee, Dundee United, Alloa and others.
I remember rangers compiling a dossier of supposed dastardly deeds against them that was laughed out.
I remember bears boasting about being the only club with no debt in 2013.
I remember the march to Hampden when nobody was in.
I don't remember a single indication of contrition.
So, no, rangers have not explicitly told scottish football to fck off but they have done everything but so excuse my hearing a lecture about taking one's medicine.

Right, so this all happens AFTER the club went into administration, and the authorities and clubs in this country decided our future between them
We took our medicine through being one of the richest and biggest clubs in Europe in the early 90s, to being a club put out of Europe by a bunch of plumbers from Luxembourg.....if Barcelona and Real Madrid have now spent so much money that they have to start again from the bottom, that's exactly what they should do

Barca and Real are up to their eyeballs in debt, and are now trying to overhaul European football just to stay at the top
