The CB and RB situations are ludicrous. It was known in the last window how facked we were and irrespective of the manager appointment somebody needed to get some experienced heads in and worry about the cost later. Complete dereliction of responsibility even though the fans would complain they were signed without managerial say so. Sometime you got to do the right thing.

I bet the guys who were giving it "10 years ahead" a couple of years ago are feeling fairly sheepish at the moment. I can't remember a decline as steep as this.

Possibly a warning shot to any Rangers fans who are keen to indulge in a bit of hubris this morning, although if I was them I'd be steaming straight in at full pace after what they had to put up with for a decade

Anyway Celtic are shambles, which keeps you in line with the rest of Scottish football.

Can’t argue with any of that. At that invincible season, we should have charged on.

Instead we signed guys like Johnny Hayes, Bayo & Greg Taylor.

I think the difference is down to Ross Wilson at Rangers. He, in conjunction with the manager and coaches identify targets, do a bit of due diligence and nominally, bring in the right fit for Rangers.

Just seems to be a bit of panic buying at Celtic at the moment.

Nah the only difference between Rangers and Celtic last season was Barkas/McGregor.

If Celtic get a decent keeper in then it’s game onπŸ‘

The 10 years ahead/not one Rangers player would get in the Celtic team guys are probably the ones who still phone up Clyde dismissing anything Rangers did last season and putting it all down to no crowds/Lennon/caffeine.

There are some sensible ones on here who can see it for what it really is. Rangers have got a good squad, a good management/coaching team and have improved standards of how the club is run behind the scenes.

Celtic have fallen apart.

They will undoubtedly be back but Big Ange really has his work cut out to make it happen under his reign.

TBF I can see why folk said that.

People were saying similar back in our NIAR days.

In my professional life I've seen that to achieve a high performing team; with an excellent reputation takes a lot of hard work, consistency, determination and dedication.

All of the above is very hard won.

Conversely it is far, far easier to lose

Mmm, quite, although I am not altogether sure what 'the right thing' would have been to do in these circumstances?
The Board are certainly not blameless but let's not forget that both they and the supporters were let down and led a merry dance by their original managerial target. Bringing in Ange at short notice was not ideal and has just exacerbated the difficulties with transition.
I get the frustration but I'm not that unhappy about being out of the CL as we are nowhere near good enough for it at the moment and being honest, the same might go for the Europa qualifiers. The League as ever is the target and that is certainly going to be one big ask this year.

Hearts will really be up for your game this weekend.
