Rangnick's Reds

Ralf has not shown anything to say he is the manager for us. Not one thing. This team scored the highest amount of goals United has ever done in 14 years under a manager who was obviously not good enough. Can we at least make Ole the benchmark to aim above???

You are scoring a few goals but conceding too many. The defence needs a lot of work. I thought Varane would be the solution but he hasn’t improved the defence

Tim Sherwood is that you? We’ve conceded far less whenever Varane has played.

No I don’t think he’s done enough to convince me he should get next season. Performances need to be far better.

The only way it should be considered is if our main targets are unavailable.

Well if he gets a top 4 finish and a CL semi final I'd reconsider but his transfer business would have to be very good in the summer for him to see out next season.

I can’t gauge Ragnick as this team is a disaster. Nobody could do anything with it. About half the squad needs to leave

You say that about every manager.
I bet you said it all season in 98/98

Harsh to judge ralf with a team that doesn’t suit his way of playing football.

Much like Klopp, pep, Tuchel, they wouldn’t be able to dominate like they have if they didn’t bring in the right players.

I keep reading about him deserving another season. He'll not get top 4 but what good would him staying for another season do us? Does it give us stability? Will players be attracted to coming to play under a manager who intends on leaving in a year's time?

I just don't get it. It's just kicking the can down the road a bit if we keep him on as boss for a year. We should at least be thinking longer term, whether we actually achieve it or not. The uncertainty of having a manager on a one year deal would just say to me that yet again we don't have a coherent plan.

Tuchel has only brought in Lukaku. Wouldn’t say he’s dominated either.

From what I read about him, he’s not a great fan of the managerial position, I think this is very likely

How is top 4 unlikely? You are currently in 4th and have the best squad of all the contenders by a distance

We have probably the toughest fixtures left but we definitely have a chance.

Because we have far harder fixtures than the other contenders and have also played more games.

Not at Chelsea ant that proves the point, not a team he’s assembled

Tbf I knew as soon as I read the question that it was an Arsenal fan trying to deflect from the fact that they are favourites for fourth spot

If other managers aren't available I could probably live with him staying on for longer if he wanted to and I''ve felt since he took the job he would but it's very unlikely that all of the managers we're looking at won't be available.

I think if we approached Ajax now we could get a deal agreed pretty quickly for Ten Hag if we really wanted to. That's what a well run club would do anyway.

Man Utd ranked 1st for stats in last 5 league games. Domination similar to Man City 100 Points side.

Wins against Spurs and Arsenal, and suddenly it’s a different season entirely.

Unless Ten Hag is waiting to see what happens at Real Madrid.

Yea you may have tough fixtures but it’s definitely not unlikely that you finish 4th. Best squad and playing more games isn’t really a bad thing.

Realistically it’s is between United, Arsenal and Spurs. Spurs are 7 points behind with 3 games in hand (Burnley A, Brighton A, Arsenal H), and Arsenal are 4 points behind with 3 games in hand (Chelsea A, Liverpool H, Spurs A). It’s pretty unlikely that with all teams on 26 games played than United wouldn’t still be 4th.

And you still have Spurs and Arsenal to play, regardless of what United fans think, they will go into both fixtures as favorites to win or at least come away with draws. Think the bookies have United as favorites for 4th too.

We just need to finish at like top 10 level, not 20th place level like we have been doing since Rangnick got the job. Todays game we just took more of our chances, we still missed a few sitters but usually we miss most of our chances.
