I was at Rugby park last winter and he was excellent before getting himself sent off last season.

Every time I have seen him against one of the OF he has always showed up well.... might just be the type of game that suits him better due to his high workrate. If he is under 1m he is a very useful player to have around IMO.

Armstrong nowhere near it. He's a poor mans Jordan Jones who puts in a bit more effort when the OF come to town.
I remember some Rangers fans talking about him after a game there earlier in the season when he was good for 15 minutes then disappeared before getting sent off. There are guys like Matondo and Wright he's a few levels below who themselves are probably not good enough so would be pointless throwing money at another squad filler on a 4 year deal we can't get rid of.

he looks to have more quality on the ball than Jones who was just a speed merchant IMO. he would be a useful squad player IMO who plays in a position that we need to fill and helps us fill a quota we are short in.
we threw money around at Dessers and Lammers. If someone like Armstrong is available for say around 500-700k he would be a useful addition to the squad IMO.
So because we threw money at Lammers and Dessers we should just keep throwing more money at people?

no im saying spending almost 7m on they two is throwing money around 500-700k isnt.
I'm just not sure I understand the relevance to Lammers and Dessers. Is our position now that because we wasted money on those 2 its ok for us to continue to waste money because its not as much?

I was using them as examples of throwing money around , spending 500-700k on a player far more known and suited to our league isnt throwing money around.
