Yep they've handled this bad. For the family the last month must have been bad enough with the diagnosis, but their team have added all the social media nonsense on top of it. Good on Kate for just saying it as it is IMO
Said that badly, their team hasn't been the ones to add to the social media stuff, but them saying nothing really hasn't worked in this instance

The three lions are meant to be gold and we’ve changed the colour on them. And they have a more significant history and tradition in England, especially the football team, than St. George’s cross.

There are lots of different colours and versions of the flag on badges in the UK for different organisations, emergency services, military etc.
It's not actually a flag either, its just a thing on a collar
I think it's just a phuckup by nike in communication where a lot of people got the wrong end of the stick
Still think it looks pants though

While I don't really care either about this, it has made me wonder what the reaction would be if say a Welsh emblem, or Palestinian or Ukrainian flag was changed for some pointless reason. I tend to read the Guardian but I would imagine a paper like the Guardian taking issue if say a Palestine flag was changed somewhere for any reason

I've seen Pride versions of our flag. They sell Bucket Hats in those colours. I've no issue with it. The flag isn't our badge in football anyway. That badge has changed a few times recently too.
