Fernando Torres

So after 18 months of torment it finally all seems worth it for Fernando. After leaving Liverpool he said he wanted to play in the Champions League and win trophies, he couldn't see this happening any time soon at the reds.

I imagine he's thinking 'This is why I came to Chelsea' right now. Before the game last night he probably privately regretted the decision but now I imagine his doubts are all but gone. Annoyingly he'll feel his decision has been vindicated...

So I ask, would you prefer to go down as a legend for a club but not be in the Champions League, or be a bit part player and compete in the Champions League at another?

Jimmy's on a tirade against all things Chelsea!

No TOOR, as I think you've already said, well done Chelsea, they deserve to get to the final. What grates with me is the claim that they were so good. The weren't allowed to be, with Cahill being injured, their skipper committing professional suicide, it was almost a 90-minute backs-to-the -wall jobby. Well done to them again I say. Ashley Cole was my MOTM, he never gave up, Peter Cech was brilliant.but, let's not get carried away here. jimmyTheRed

Chelsea were great, doing the job they were told to do. They went there to defend and counter attack. They did that, snatched two goals on the counter and got the draw they came for. Chelsea played well.

The game has become much more tactical and of course this is even more so when you play a game over two legs. Guardiola was arrogant, he put out a team with three defenders. It ended up one of the defenders is actually more like a winger and one is a defensive midfielder. He made a mistake in playing Cuenca, who Cole had in his pocket the whole game.

There was simply no need to go all out attack chasing the game when they were only one-nil down from the first leg and only needed to score two, which was made even easier when Chelsea went down to ten. The problem was when Chelsea snatched a goal on the counter, due to Barcelona's over-attacking tactics. It was arrogant and it was a little insulting to Chelsea.

Barcelona got what they deserved, as did Chelsea.

TooR although Barca were arrogant in a way, they deserved to go through. It was attack V defence for 180 minutes and a minor miracle that Chelsea got into the final...

You see this is something I disagree with and probably why I disagree with the people who say Liverpool deserve to be in a better position due to us dominating teams but not scoring.

If you tactically defeat your opponent, denying them clear chances and you go up the other end and score, you deserve to win.

Just because Barcelona attacked more, doesn't mean they deserved to win. Football is not only about attacking, it's about scoring and stopping you opponents scoring and over the two legs, Chelsea did both things better than Barcelona and therefore, without a doubt, in my eyes, deserved to win.

But they didn't deny them clear chances. Messi had about 3 one on ones through out the 2 legs, missed a penalty they hit the post twice and missed countless GOOD chances.

Chelsea did well but I have to disagree that they deserved to go through.

Got to agree here, as like the Arsenal fan who got made the fool by jason cundy last night...
he said, The only reason Chelsea are through, is because they didn't score enough....
Jason Cundy agreed, then there was silence....
obviously he realised he'd pooh poohed his own argument as to why Chelsea didn't deserve to go through....ha ha..it was funny
At the end of the day, you got to get them goals....

We'll have to agree to disagree then.
