First it seems its not as serious as it sounds (I realise how ridiculous that sounds). Apparently he had a triple fracture of a bone at the top of his spine in a friendly against Munster.
He has to be immobilised for 8 weeks and then have another 4-6 weeks out before he can train again
First of all, all the best to Joe, thats a terrible injury and one you wouldn't wish on anyone
Second its amazing that the medics can make something that serious right again, it sounds like a career - or even life - ending injury, to think he could be back before Christmas is incredible
Elsewhere Gavin Henson is out for 6 weeks with a fractured cheekbone and yes it was an on the field, rather than pub, plane or airport injury

You may know the answer to this, if you are up on wildlife.

It's a perfectly serious question. You come on here talking knowledgably about Essex pu$$ies. It a perfection natural thought process to ask you for your undoubted knowledge of the metamorphosis of the same into this other creature.
