As we all rage at the owners for not financing the Dempsey transfer, might I give great credit to Brendan Rodgers for his excellent work this transfer window. He has moved on some of the dead wood such as Adam and given the likes of Spearing and Carroll chances elsewhere, cutting the wage bill in the process.
He has brought in only a few players, but we can already see that Joe Allen is going to be a great player for many years to come. Fabio Borini also looks as if it might be a decent acquisition, and Brendan's previous experiences of working with him can only bode well. Nuri Sahin is, by all accounts, an excellent signing in the Xabi Alonso mould, and provides strength in depth in midfield. Add in the signings of two highly rated youngsters, Samed Yesil and Oussama Assaidi.
It is a shame that we could not stump up the cash for one final signing, but I for one would like to heartily congratulate Brendan on such a good transfer season, particularly after last season's disastrous one.

If we hadn't loaned Carroll I would have said great window
Now I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why we only have Yesil as a recognised striker and he's probably going to start out in the reserves.
