I'm interested in hearing from my fellow fans who went to the semi-final in 1981 , for those who don't know the design of the Leppings Lane stand it's very much like a funnel with a wide entrance allowing many thousands access to the three pens unfortunately it narrows very quickly and the pressure from behind was unbelievable TBH it was a deathtrap
Now I'm pleased the truth has come out about the disgusting media and the awful policing but nobody has mentioned the F.A's part in the 89 disaster ....I know Liverpool fans who said that after narrowly averting a disaster in 88 they would never go back again and as I said the Spurs fans in 81 we were very lucky to escape with no fatalities and I believe there were other incidents in the previous 10 years leading up to 1989
I don't mean to dismiss the 96 in any way but for me they will have no justice until the man who agreed to stage the 1989 semi-final there is behind bars and for a very long time after all they had enough warnings of how dangerous that place was
So Spurs fans and any other fans please tell me your stories of semi finals standing on the Leppings Lane
No justice for the 96

apart from the memory of an outrageous penalty given to wolves in the last minute i will always remember being penned in behind that goal in a heaving mass of spurs fans....very frightening and uncomfortable indeed.

Hi Archie
Mate we must be getting bloody old , Sandy said exactly the same as you on another thread but it seems that at the moment only us 3 are around on this site
Thanks very much for your comment and Archie and Crooks were the best striking pair we've had apart from the G Men
