Every time the midlfield get the ball in the centre we concede too much room for them to run into unchallenged.
That is why Lucas will be the key player in the team when he comes back.
Good win.
Bring on the bitters.
Too much space!

I think the space has a lot to do with us trying to win the ball too quickly. It means our players are running in full steam, instead of holding a line a winning it tactically and thus one movement cuts our players out.

What Toor said and also our defenders not pushing up with midfielders. Brendan explained it the other day.

I worry about how open we are. Opposition teams don't have to get many men forward or be too clever to look dangerous against us.
You often see a team attack us with, say, a striker occupying our centre-backs, 1 advanced player out wide and one player (a centre-mid or full-back) advancing with the ball, and they'll fashion a really dangerous situation against us, even with our defence in place and cover pouring back.
Worrying, although our tragic finishing is probably the most pressing concern.

Joe Allen seems to have an invisible "do not cross" line. He will make another pass instead of getting in the box himself.

Allen at the moment is all pass and the ocassional tackle, but then again he is holding

Brendan Rodgers has already said that when Lucas returns, Joe Allen will be instructed to play further forward. Liverpool could end up playing a 4-1-2-3/4-1-2-2-1 formation.

The space in front of the back four I think has been the main area of concern in terms of how the team plays this season.
Against Sundeland in the second half we played much more of a 4-2-3-1 and I thought we looked more solid.
It's certainly an issue which needs to be addressed.
