I think it's two lads from Derry, McLaughlin and Barry Macnamee too.

I'd be sad to see Dex go especially as one of the first choice strikers isn't actually our player yet. Chris Wood would be a great replacement though and I doubt either he or Dex want to be 2nd choice.

How does Chris Wood fit any better into the Forest system than Dex? I agree Wood is a good Championship striker but SOD wants Sharp and Cox upfront - plenty of movement and pace. Wood is a target man.

How often have you seen him? I'd no more call him a target man as I would Dex, he has presence and is a strong kid but tore us to bits when Millwall smashed us at home. He's got good movement and isn't slow.

I think we're better off when we have Dex plus one of the others as it gives us an extra dimension and think Wood would do that too. If we're after a Cox/Sharp-a-like then he's not the man, neither is Dex nor Morison of Norwich.

I've seen him several times - playing for West Brom and Birmingham. I was also at the Millwall game and completely agree that he tore us to pieces with his target man play. He's not a quick player, he just stood there and waited for Shittu to punt it up to him. He controlled the ball, turned and laid it off. I rate him in this division but he's definitely a target man and much more so than Dex. SOD seems to see Dex as 3rd choice because he doesn't have the movement of Sharp and Cox. Which is why it seems odd we'd go for him or Morrison.

He's no whizz kid but perhaps looks quicker as his touch is good. I wouldn't say e and Dex are a million miles apart and when he comes on for us we seem intent on using Dex's physical abilities more than anything else. I don't think Dex is particularly mobile so maybe that's why SOD thinks he can get a better replacement.

Yeah could be. I've always thought Dex was quite mobile for a big man. Certainly Wood and Morrison look larger in physique. Maybe he doesn't score enough goals but he certainly chips in with important ones.

I like Dex a lot more since his injury ironically. He puts himself about more, is difficult to play against and works much harder. He always seemed a bit of a stroller and jack-of-all-trade type before he was injured. He was never fast but maybe lost some pace and it worked better for him as he's concentrating on areas he's better at.

I would keep Dex ahead of Morison or Wood. I don't particularly feel that either of the two would represent value for money considering we'd have to pay them a Premiership wage and their respective clubs a transfer fee. Morison is at least 28 and has had one decent season at Millwall, although even their fans felt they got the better deal when he went to Norwich for £3m. I personally felt Henderson did us more damage than Wood when Millwall came to the City Ground, however, they out muscled us in pretty much every area of the pitch that day.
