Oh ffs. Clough was not a legend. A good double act with Taylor but proven useless without him.

Secondly, Sir Don didn't 'walk out'. He was offered the job as manager of his national team who'd won the World Cup only eight years before. It was still seen as a great honour then to manage England.

Thirdly, the movie is full of inaccuracies and, I believe, the author of the book issued damages and apologies to several Leeds legends who were misrepresented.

i think you under estimate Cloughie.he went to a club with several big egos snd unwilling to accept a new gaffer.I dont think the problem was his alone. A bit like AVB at chelsea, he didnt turn into s bad manager overnight. Both good managers at the wrong club at the wrong time.

How is clough not a legend? Won the league with 2 unfashionable teams. Got cheated by Juve in the European Cup semi with Derby , and won 2 European Cups with Forest. So if hes not a legend then who is? Revie? Dont recall him winning the European Cup with Leeds......

I know the movie is inaccurate but it was entertaining , as is Cloughs own autobiography. The man was an entertainer. Shouldnt have touched the Leeds job with a bargepole , but as the man himself said - it was the biggest job in football at that time.
