Sammon Chosen over Cox

Trappatoni has shown his football shrewdness by preferring Connor Sammon's busy striking style to the smooth skills of Simon Cox.

I am glad to see Sammon's preferment as a testament to what he has done at Derby and a rebuke to the prejudiced deniers amongst our Derby supporters (Clough Detractors more accurately).

I hope he can use this as a platform for launching an improved career which will be good for him as well as us as Derby County fans. I wish him well. We will need it in the light of Billy Davies's boost for the Red Dogs (did you see the grinning dwarf last night on TV)

Pah!

Blatant miscontrol as he fell over, I was embarrassed to watch it! Ball thundertwatted forward from the halfway line in a desperate attempt to clear your lines, Cox is trying to bring it down and it loops off him, over the bewildered keeper.

Even Sammon only tends to miscontrol the ball once at a time, perhaps that why the league awarded it to Cox for his double fail, a kind of ironic statement about the standard of the game nowadays or something.

Cox out.

As a Forest fan I'd like to say well done Sammon, if it means Cox is fit and ready for Saturday (and rested).

What you're saying Florist is Fishy won't be fit and available for the relegation 6 pointer on Friday for the sheep then.... Oh dear he'll have to do a Lewis off the bench then

Trappatoni is a Forest fan, it's clear to see. Leaving out Cox is brilliant for us. Playing Sammon, when he is bound to play on Friday too. Brilliant stuff.

Sammon's mentioned in the BBC text commentary: he was fouled after 3 minutes.

Has Fishy had a miss kick shot yet to show his international pedigree

As this is a vaguely international thread, may I take this opportunity to say

E N G L A N D
A R E
N O T as good as we wish they were and have been outplayed for most of this game against a team from a country with a very small population. Boo.

Sammon's mentioned five times second half!

Fouled three times, fouled an Austrian and caught offside.

Prolific.

666 I'm sure NLN would value that kind of contribution in his team Sammon a handful .....of what!
