3 horse race for the driver championship?

three races gone are we starting to see the 3 main contenders for the drivers championship in vettel , alonso and kimi raikk , was todays race an indication of a 3 way driver fight for the rest of the season ?

alonso came from behind on the grid to win , kimi raikk with a brilliant drive in a damaged car to beat pole sitter hamilton , and vettel from 9th on the grid put in maybe the best drive of the day to nearly snatch 3rd place from the mediocre hamilton that started on pole

when you look at the 3 races that have gone there would not seem to very much inbetween mercedes , ferrari , red bull and lotus in competitiveness but it would seem to be alonso , vettel and kimi raikk three drivers with real intelligence and a feel for the tyres that are doing the most with there cars in race conditions ,

------------------- are we seeing an indication of a 3 way fight for the title where a blend of breathtaking pace , tyre finesse and intelligence behind the wheel will pay a real premium for alonso , vettel and kimi raikk as the season unfolds ??

It happened to him last year as well. The amount of rubber on the track was ridiculous.

Do not entirely buy the argument though

I was surprised at how fast kimi was able to go with that front wing. it didn't seem to slow him down at all.

Indeed, he got lucky with the piece that was broken off.

Imagine what he would have been able to do if he didn't have a poor start or a broken wing

It seems Kimi's poor start was in part down to his team making a bad call. I doubt he would have stayed in front of Alonso but he probably would have stayed in front of Massa at the start.

Brilliant. We have a lively and interesting discussion about the greatest F1 driver, and WTCBU returns to throw in some gratuitous insults and the discussion gets deleted.

Something needs to be done to stop this poster ruining the F1 discussion board.
